  • Very Peaceful!

"Very Peaceful and serine, from the tranquility bell on the front porch to all the decorations. Loved all the wind chimes! We felt welcomed from the moment we stepped in the door. The neighborhood is like a town that time forgot, a relaxing place to get away from the world. This is our type of place. The fenced in yard for our dog was perfect we didn’t have to worry about him wandering off.. All parts of the front yard were secure so no escapes. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Thank you so much for sharing your home, I can tell you put a lot of love into your decor!"

  • The Best At Prime Hook

"First, Ron is hands down, the best property-renter out there. He is very accommodating, he will answer all your questions, and he is an all around great guy. The Lookout is the finest spot you’ll find anywhere around Prime Hook. The house sits right on the PH Preserve but has excellent views of the Bay thanks to all the decks, including the one on the roof. The house and grounds are kept up really well and there's plenty of room for 8 people. We spent a substantial part of one morning on the second floor back deck next to juniper trees, observing the warblers darting around the branches. The scenery out in the Preserve never stops changing—gulls, terns, egrets, herons, skimmers, and some early Snow Geese this year (couple years back I saw some rare White Pelicans fly in and land in the Preserve). You could spend the whole time just sitting and watching. BUT, we hit the beach too (we hiked all the way up to have a look at the breeches one day). We also hung out on one of the sand bars out in the Bay as well. We had the whole beach to ourselves. You’ll want to take time to hike into the Preserve (short drive to HQ) and we always hit Rehoboth for food, fudge, etc. If you’re looking for a great get-away spot at the shore that puts you a good distance from any crowds, then look no further, my friend."

  • Lovely Quiet Place

"We really enjoyed our long weekend at this cottage hugging the dune and right on the beach. You can't beat it's location and ease of access. Some of the things we just loved: big, new windows looking right into the dune/bay and out to the side to the beach; the big flat-screen TV - wow; great wifi; sleeping on the daybed in the sun room - what a lovely place to wake up; comfortable glider chair in sun room (perfect for my elderly mother); the accessibility for my mother who uses a rolling walker and a regular walker; terrific new patio with views to both bay and wildlife refuge; being able to bring our dog - so, so fantastic; owner's quick response to my questions and calls; friendly, helpful neighbors. This is a simple, rustic cottage with some updates. The kitchen and its equipment are basic. The furniture a mix of old/worn and new. No closets. No washer/dryer. No dishwasher. This didn't bother us. If you need and require sleek luxury or more than basic amenities, don't come here. If you want sky, water, dunes, beach, quiet, fresh air, birds (I've never seen so many blue herons and egrets in one place), simple pleasures, no stairs, and a place where you can bring your dog, then this is the place for you!"

  • Quiet and Relaxing

"This was my very first vacation getaway in about 10 years. I enjoyed my time here tremendously. I can't wait to come back. The cottage is beautiful, clean and spacious. The beach is right outside the back door . How many vacation spots can you go to and feel right at home. Cable,Wi-Fi, full kitchen with supplies. I will definitely be back next year."
