  • If we could give 6 or 7 starts we would...

"What a great beach house! The views of the bay/canal and the sunset will truly take your breath away. The location of the house is perfect for a fun-filled vacation -- it's a 2 blocks from the beach - clean, spaces & "semi-private" beach. The bay/canal side is quieter and more relaxing to enjoy beautiful sunsets. There is an outdoor shower to get clean after the beach, a deck and BBQ grill in the back. Few local business & small restaurants are walking distance from the house. Short ride to OC, Md, & even shorter ride to Bethany, DE. Amazing location... Our vacation was a little different since we had our wedding reception for 80 + people at the beach house. We spend the week prior to the reception in the house to set up the tents, chair, tables, etc. The back deck was a perfect sunset setting for our dancing floor. The owner of the house treated us like family he was always available and gave us a lot of suggestions including what became our wedding photographer and and essential part of our special day. The owner and his neighbors are very close which will make this house your home away from home. They were always helpful in the preparation for the big event and actually joined the celebration during our reception. This property is highly recommended to anyone looking for a week's vacation or planning a small event, you will sure get what's offered and lots, lots of extras. .•:*¨¨*:•.Great House-Awesome Owner-A++ Neighbors.•:*¨¨*:•. Great time, plenty of room, own full bathrooms, huge beautiful dinning table, space, space, more space!!! just amazing vacation in paradise... Can't wait to go back!!!"

  • Great place for a quiet getaway

"My family and I stayed here the week of Memorial Day. It was the perfect size and the fenced in back yard was nice for our dog. Finding a place that welcomes pets is very important to me as my dog is handicapped and I cannot board him. The cleaning folks do a nice job. You couldn't tell that dogs have stayed here. It was also nice that there were plenty of books, movies, and games supplied in case of rainy days. It's only a short walk to the beach and a short car drive to OCMD and Rehoboth. Lots of great places to eat and a few grocery stores are nearby. Rose, the owner is wonderful to deal with. She is prompt in answering any questions you might have. I would love to stay here again."

  • Great place to stay!

"We are still on vacation at this location, but the minute we walked in the door, we knew we had rented a winner! Super, super clean, very bright, tastefully decorated, well thought out in terms of the little things. For example, the one bathroom has lots of towel racks and a hook near the tub, plus a huge counter around the sink and some small drawers to store your beauty essentials. The floors are all tile - easy to sweep clean. The outdoor shower is an ode to clean - I've never seen one without pine needles or sand...until this one. (Lots of places here to hang towels and clothes, too.) The landscaping is lovely - the trim border at the front of the house fits the cottage. The shower area is nicely landscaped and there are pretty planters on the two decks. It looks like every penny of the cleaning fee is spent on making sure this place is spotless and cheerful. (As someone with asthma, clean is important to me - this cottage exceeds my expectations..) It's evident the owners take super care of the home and rent to people who respect it. This is a great, casual cottage - just what I think of when I think beach vacation. Would be great for a couple or a small family. The pictures don't show the dining set out on the back deck, which is lovely. I'm trying to decide if this spot or the other deck next to the canal is my favorite place for morning coffee. There is a bubbler in the canal, right behind this cottage that makes a lovely sound like a trickling fountain. The only thing that might improve the place is a dishwasher - but it's not a big deal. The picture of the blue bedroom makes it look smaller in the photo than in real life. Other than that, the photos on the site are very accurate. The location is great - just a short walk (across the highway) to the beach. We have been coming to this area for years, and since kids are grown up, we now come in the post-season. Still plenty to do and the weather is usually more comfortable. Great easy biking in this area and kayaking down the road. A wide range of places to eat in the area. We would recommend this cottage to our family and friends in a heartbeat. The words that sum it up: comfortable, clean, convenient. Just unlock the door and feel the relaxation begin!"

  • Wonderful Time for our Family

"This house was perfect for our family vacation. While the house could accommodate multiple families, our family of three wasn't rambling around; we immediately felt right at home here. The access to the canal and beach were perfect. We could easily walk to the beach with our 5 year old and when we didn't want to walk, parking was a breeze with the pass. The rooms allow for multiple sleeping arrangements. We would recommend for friends, families with young children, and multiple families. A perfect place."
