  • Many Memories Made!

"We can't say enough about this beach cottage! It was very clean, comfortable and well stocked with that "one little thing" that you forgot!! The private beach was the BEST! The screened in porch and decks were so enjoyable - especially for Great Grandmom! We had family from as far away as British Columbia and as close as Fenwick, join us to celebrate several special birthdays and it was wonderful. We had plenty of room, comfortable beds and we LOVED the family-sized dinning table! The property manager and the owner are wonderful to work with - no problems - but always there to answer any questions and very thoughtful! Your cottage is well cared for and we certainly enjoyed our "week at the beach" ! PS - loved the flowers - made it seem like home :) Many thanks!"

  • Great view and accommodations

"Beautiful apartment overlooking the ocean. Pricey, but we felt it was worth it for us. It had an amazing view, was right by the pool and ocean entrance. The decor is very stylish, everything was very clean, nice and comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. I do want to say though, just in case you have a crying baby in the car and every extra minute on the road feels like eternity: it's a bit confusing where exactly you need to go to get parking and recreation passes. The office closes at 5, so if you arrive after that time just have security issue you an overnight pass and go in the morning. It's a huge complex, with the tall apartment buildings on the ocean front and the rest of the bldgs across Rt 1. The oceanfront buildings are named alphabetically. Security office is in the tallest middle building that starts with E. Dover ('D') is right next to it. It was overwhelming for us at first because we arrived late, with two cranky kids. We quickly figured everything out though, and the vacation turned out to be a blast. Also, they have recycling bins on the beach. We didn't want to throw plastic water jugs into the garbage, so that was useful info for us. Thanks to Donna and Luke for renting your apartment and caring for it so well!"

  • Spacious bedrooms, beautiful vista, prime location!

"Our family has been travelling to Bethany for a summer destination for years. We loved this particular unit because of the huge bedrooms and beautiful view. Typically we stay in places where we are all packed in, but this unit has large bedrooms where people can truly relax and unwind after a long day in the sun. The view is wonderful from the 8th floor and is unique in that you have a view of the beach but also can see all the way into town which was particulary fun for me with my 3 boys to watch the trolly and other activity from a distance (there was noise as we were high up and far enough away so could only hear the ocean). Sea Colony ammenitites are the best, we had a private beach, and easy access to a pool and gym. We walked across the street and into town throughout the week for dinner. Loved our stay!!"

  • Miss it already - Home away from home!

"We had such a great weekend and can't wait to come back! "A Shore Thing" fit our group of 5 families, 3 of them with young kids, very well. We were all very comfortable and immediately felt at home in this wonderful vacation property. It is portrayed perfectly in the photos, is very clean and professionally (tastefully) decorated without being cluttered. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils for cooking, grilling, blending drinks, and entertaining. My husband and I were in the 'Starfish Room', and it was incredibly comfortable. I wish I could take the bed home with us. Sleeping in each morning was amazing, even in a house with toddlers running around early in the morning. I can tell a lot of care was put in to decorating and making it comfortable. I appreciate that there is a ceiling fan just about everywhere one can be, and all of the switch labels are conveniently labeled. We plugged ipods/ smartphones into the house sound system that played music out the ceiling speakers on the main level, also enjoying movie nights and game nights at "home". We found the location to be great, just outside of the Ocean City chaos in a nice quite neighborhood. We walked (almost every day) to Harpoon Hannah's, which offered both fun day-time meals for the family with live music, and also a late-night bar scene with DJ, boats pulling up to the dock, and dancing on the lit up dock! A lot of fun, and so close. There is another bar/restaurant even closer just across the main road, but I forget the name as we didn't make it there once we got stuck on Harpoon Hannah's. Also close were the Crabcake Factory where we had an excellent bloody mary brunch on the water, and we also walked the just-under-a-mile walk to the beach each day, which made more sense than trying to find parking during high-season. And let's be honest, we could all use the walk with all of the food and beverages we were enjoying! Thank you, Ben, for such a great experience. We will look to you again when we have a chance to make it back to the Eastern Shore!"
