  • Great Rental!

"We are a family of four and have rented this townhome twice. It is very clean, well furnished, and in a great location. It is on the ocean side of Rt. 1 which is key for kids and family going back and forth to the beach. As well it is close enough for easy walks into downtown Bethany. We have very much enjoyed our stay here and will definitely rent again."

  • Great Amenities within reach of the Beach

"My Wife and two small children had a great time enjoying a few days at this property within reach of the beach, but with many more amenities close at hand. The unit itself is spacious and well maintanied and well appointed. We particularly enjoyed the screened in porch and luxurious master suite (ridiculous amount of closet space). The property comes with access to a great pool and tennis facility with childrens splash zone, lots of kid activiities run by property counselors and food and drink close at hand. We were able to relax and enjoy ourselves and the children had a great time. There is a nice playground including a working carousel which was the highlight for our children. Everyone had a favorite horse. The water taxi from the property pier is a great way to get around while enjoying a unique view of the inland waterway/bay. Getting to the beach was a little more difficult that if you are walking distance away, but is doable either with the property shuttle or by Car. Overall a good new way to enjoy a beach vacation."

  • A magical wedding week!

"The cottages were the perfect and relaxing base for a hectic week of wedding preparations and celebration. We stayed in the Harvey Cottage and had family in the larger cottage. Both spaces were charmingly furnished, clean and provided sumptuous bedding and attention to detail. Even in the waning days of autumn, the gardens were enticing and provided a lovely backdrop for our wedding photos. We look forward to returning to see the gardens in bloom. If I have one critique, it's that the proprietors were not as responsive as I'd like when we were first planning our stay. But be patient... it is well worth the wait."

  • Best one yet!!

"We have vacationed in Mallard Lakes 10+ times, and this unit is is by far the most beautiful and well appointed. The location towards the front of the development and directly across from the pool is a plus as well. We had a small snafu (our fault), and the owner and her father were incredibly accommodating. The unit is an end, which gives you an extra few feet of living space. Loved the decor and the flooring! For those new to the Mallard Lakes community, it is a quiet, family friendly atmosphere with many great features. There are two pools, tennis courts, playgrounds, basketball area, ponds galore for fishing, and a sand volleyball court which our family particularly enjoys in the evenings. About a 1 mile drive to the beach, but you can drive 5-7 minutes to the Delaware state park which has parking, restrooms and concessions (small fee per day). During busy summer season, try to get there before 10:30-11:00 for parking reasons. Beach is guarded."
