  • Great cottage in quiet area of Dewey Beach

"My wife, my 20 month old son, and I stayed at this cottage during the week of July 4th 2014. We had a great time and couldn't have been happier with our stay. We knew we were staying during a very busy holiday week, but we wanted to stay in an area that was relatively quiet in or around Rehoboth Beach. North Dewey beach and this cottage were perfect and we found the location to be incredibly convenient.Only about 5 houses from the beach entrance, and no party or college crowds nearby. But if we walked about 5-6 block south, we could go to many restaurants, bars, convenience stores, liquor stores, and playgrounds. There is even a farmer's market about 2 blocks west. If we took a 20 minute walk north around the lake, we would end up on the south end of the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk (we like to walk and run a lot so it didn't bother us at all, however the walk can seem a little dangerous at night with the cars driving passed). The house was a great size for us. Enough space for our son to play, but not too much where we can't keep an eye on him wherever he goes. They also have boxes filled with toys and games for kids already in the house. We spent all morning at the beach, late afternoon on the front porch, evenings on the town to eat dinner, and then all night on the back porch. The only complaint I had was that bathtub did not have a rubber mat or traction pads, so we had to be extremely careful when showering or giving our son a bath. There were a few times we almost fell and could have gotten very hurt. A very small and cheap fix that should be taken care of. We had a great vacation here and my wife says she wants to come back to the cottage (this is coming from a person who doesn't like renting a place more than once). It is an awesome place for couples and small families."

  • Really "just like home"

"Can't say enough about this rental. Me and my family have stayed at different places in Rehoboth Beach, but this condo does outshine them all. Working with the owner made everything effortless, which really helps when you're planning a family vacation. The condo is listed correctly - Just Like Home. That's how it felt. In fact, the kitchen is more equipped than our kitchen at home. We were very comfortable staying there and plan to go back. It's very close to everything. It's only a mile to the beach, so we would either take the Shuttle Bus or ride our bikes. Everything was within a close proximity. When we wanted to unwind we would relax by the pool or hot tub. We would recommend this condo to anyone that wants to have a fabulous vacation."

  • A Hidden Gem!

"Our first stay in Rehoboth was beyond perfect! We stayed here during the 4th of July, and had a wonderful visit. With two smaller kids, the house was a perfect setup for us. Layout of home provided plenty of privacy...never felt like our family members were stepping on each other’s' toes. Everything you want is an easy drive and the owners gave us great beach tips for our family. Everything was easy and it was great to have the pool nearby. I'm a fan of "the little things," so it was awesome to see a bottle of wine waiting for me upon my arrival. Kathy has gone out of her way to ensure her guests have a wonderful time on vacation. We could not think of a thing that the owners did not include and/or provide with the home. It was truly a home away from home. I will always remember the fun we had here this past summer, and this home will always be part of those memories! This is truly a hidden gem!"

  • Nice Condo

"This is a very nice well decorated condo. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. Favorite amenity was the clubhouse. We had 6 teenagers and a 9 year old and they made good use of the pool and game rooms. Adults enjoyed the fitness center. It was also nice to have the tv space at the clubhouse where the girls often went to have some space. Owner was easy to communicate with and when dishwasher broke during our stay he had it replaced. Although this will technically sleep 14, we were a bit crowded with 11 (I'm sure the 6 teenager had something to do with that). The bunk room is tiny and that's where we had 4 teenage boys. For a smaller or younger group it would be perfect."

Delaware is conveniently located near four of the major eastern metropolitan areas. It is within an easy day's drive from Philadelphia, Washington DC, Baltimore and even New York City. Many people who visit like to have a car to explore the coastline. If you are traveling from further afield, you can easily rent a car upon arrival at the airport. Delaware is the only state that does not have its own commercial airport. But given its proximity to the major cities, this is not really an issue. For international travelers, you can fly into JFK or Newark airports near New York City. Alternatively, you can consider flights into Washington Dulles International Airport or Philadelphia International Airport. Both of these airports have frequent commercial flight connections.
