  • Fantastic Experience

"We could not have had a better week! The house is spacious, the layout is great, its is decorated well, and has phenomenal views. The osprey that nest immediately next door and fly by the porch every morning and eveing really add to the peaceful beach experience. It was exactly what we were looking for. The combination of bay views and accessibility to the ocean are nearly perfect. The property is very well kept up and the owner is great. He is very thorough and always accessible to answer questions, address issues, and generally make sure your week is enjoyable. My only knock on the place is the No Grilling policy. What's a week or weekend at the beach without being able to cook out. Overall, though, we absolutely loved the place and would strongly consider renting again. I highly recommend it."

  • Perfect for Vacation with Dogs

"Loved, loved, loved the house for our vacation with our dogs! The house is literally 30 ft from the beach and Delaware Bay with a fantastic view of the sunrise. Inside was clean and comfortable with an open-concept layout with stylish yet relaxed furnishings...perfect for a carefree vacation. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were beautiful. The beach is dog friendly...just remember to pick up and keep them on a leash. Be aware that Broadkill is a "natural" beach...meaning no cleaning by the city. We found the best time to take walks was during low tide...and we have developed a new appreciation for the horseshoe crab. We even met a few neighbors who could not have been nicer. We visited a week after the "busy" season and only saw a few passers-by each day (we saw a few more people/dogs on the weekend). Secure fencing/gates around the lower level of the house allowed us to let our dogs roam freely without the constant need for leashes. Broadkill Beach is a private and secluded area, but close to other activities...we watched Ravens and Orioles games at Grotto Pizza and Green Turtle in Lewes 12 minutes away, took the Dogfish Head brewery tour, visited the farmers market in Rehoboth and spent an afternoon in Betheny. And let's not forget Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge...5 minutes away for amazing birding, kayaking and hiking."

  • Super family vacation

"We loved our stay in this beautiful house! The property was very clean and well-kept. The kitchen was well-equipped and the house easily accommodated our 3-generation family. The furnishings were comfortable and appropriate for families with young children. The neighborhood is quiet, beautifully maintained and a great place for bike-riding. We biked to the beach, (about a mile away), local parks and through a great bike trail near-by. The pool was small, but perfect for our little kids. The large community pool was a short walk away. The great Rehoboth restaurants were only minutes away. We've been coming to Rehoboth for a number of years, and we look forward to returning to this house next year."

  • Nice place

"This condo was a nice place for our 5 adults and 2 kids. It had pretty much everything you need for a week at the beach--laundry, full kitchen with all the pots, pans, etc. that you could need, beach chairs and beach toys. We had a good time here...although it got off to a bad start. When we arrived, after driving all day to get there and finally got the kids to bed, we pulled down the covers and the beds weren't made! And this wasn't the bad part-- it took us 45 minutes to find the right sheets for each bed! So the first night was pretty disaterous, everyone was tired and pretty irked by this. If we had known, we would have prepared the beds earlier. The sheets were in a closet upstairs, in the bedroom closets, and we later found some in the dryer downstairs. None of them had tags so it took us forever to figure out which ones went with which beds. Very annoying. The place was tastefully decorated... if I were being picky I would say it could use some new carpet--when we first arrived the first impression was that it was pretty stained, a big stain in the living room when you first walk in and the stairs' carpet wasn't in the best of shape. But for a week it was fine. The kitchen is pretty stocked. We did find quite a lot of expired goods that we discarded for the next tenants, but we contributed a lot of basics too like garbage bags, cooking oil, sugar etc. So it would be best to bring your own cooking food, etc. The location was pretty nice. We had never been to Rehoboth before, but this was located right on the main drag and everything was close by. Just a tip--if you've never been to the area before, the weekends are a mess with traffic, but the week days are good. So the Sunday to Sunday reservation worked great for us (If we had arrived on a Friday we would have thought that horrendous traffic was the norm!) Also, I wouldn't depend on the "toy" room upstairs--everything was pretty much a mess in that room, puzzles and toys were stashed all over, so I would bring your own entertainment for the kids. And the condo's listing said something about the beach bus coming to the Palms, but we never saw it and heard that it doesn't come there, you have to drive to a Park N Ride nearby. We didn't need it but just wanted to mention it in case you do, I would call the realtor first to confirm this."
