  • Fabulous!

"Our family of 5 stayed in the Garden apartment for 8 days. it was so lovely. Everything is decorated beautifully! Things we loved: the convertible coach was very comfortable, not something you always find in a convertible! The shower and toilet were separate so it made it easier for the 5 of us (3 daughters!) to share the facilities. Starbucks is right at the next corner. There are lots of restaurants, CVS, 7-11 and Safeway close by. The living room has more furniture than the pictures showed. It was very clean and well maintained. The owner was very responsive. I would recommend this property to my best friend, closest relative or anyone else that is traveling to DC! FYI: The Metro stop was a bit far, about a mile. we tried to drive to it once but our parking pass wasn't valid in that neighborhood, at least we couldn't find an area where it would be valid. The owner thought that it would, so maybe ask about that. There might be a way to take a bus to the metro stop? I would stay there again for sure!!!!"

  • K Street Studio - LOVED IT!!

"Work brought my husband to D.C. but the person booking their lodgings waited too long to make reservations closer to their venue. The rest of the large group (over 45 people) were shuttled back and forth from Tysons Corner, Virginia, to Fort McNair, D.C. My husband, upon hearing where they were booked, said we, along with 2 others, would look for some place closer to Fort McNair on our own. We didn't find this out till May 1st! Found "K Street Studio" & thankfully they had availability. What a gem!! I arrived May 5, shortly after 3pm & met Cindi & Dee-Dee (the dog). Big woof; big softie! Such a friendly welcoming committee. Cindi quickly walked me through as I had to leave and pick up my husband at 4 pm. She helped bring in our bags & some grocery items. Easy parking within the neighborhood, too. Cindi provides an on-street parking pass, good for 1 vehicle for the duration of your stay. Took the D8 bus the first day to Union Station, a 6-min ride. Decided to walk it the next. 20 mins 1-way at an easy pace; down to 15 mins by the time I left. The studio was wonderful! So comfortable, welcoming & relaxing with so many amenities/extras compared to a standard hotel room. The clothes dryer came in handy as it rained on the 5th and our jeans/trousers were very damp on our way back from dinner. The bed was very comfortable; the bed's curtain is dark brown - ideal for sleeping. (The pics online show white curtains). It was like being in a cocoon. Husband had to be at work early so drawing the curtains as he got ready was ideal. May 8th was hot and sunny. The washer & dryer both came in handy that day! I asked Cindi if it were OK if friends dropped over - and she immediately offered to put out the patio table, umbrella and chairs! There are paperback books, DVDs, tour books/maps, bus schedules; kitchen has plastic wrap & tin foil, ziplock bags, all the kitchen utensils you'd need for easy food prep, bakeware, pots/pans, toaster, microwave, a wonderful gas stove... and more. Even a vase - as Cindi pointed out the irises in the backyard were ready to bloom and to cut a bouquet to bring in. Would we stay here again? In a heartbeat! The neighborhood is eclectic... and 'H St' is 2 blocks south with all kinds of restaurants. We parked on 'I' street, one block south (there is no 'J' street). Really enjoyed K Street Studio and am looking forward to returning soon."

  • Charming Apartment

"Very nice apartment. Great neighborhood. Slept 5 easily. Owner got us a parking permit and provided metro cards (worth $25). A big part of why our trip to Washington was so great."
