"We just came back from a great trip in DC. Thanks to this fantastic place, close to everything. The house was clean and wonderful just as described and more. It's in a safe and quiet neighborhood. We walked to store late at night and also walked to restaurants (from Jo's recommendation list of restaurants) for dinner most night. We enjoyed all our dinners, she was right on target for all her recommendation. We had no problem of finding good parking for our car everyday. One day, we even rode the bicycles that Jo provided for sightseeing.. Jo was very accommodation to all our need. We loved her welcome basket and a lot of useful stuff in the pantry. She even brought us pastries from 1 of her favorite bakery, they were real yummy. Best of all, she was quick to help me with my personal problem even after I already moved out and back at home. This is the best Vrbo and the best landlord. She provided us with a lot of good informations to get around DC. Thanks Jo! You are the best, I can't stop praise about you and your place to my friend."

"Three of us (retired adult women) stayed at this clean, comfortable, well-furnished town home during the Cherry Blossom Festival. The location was just great for accessing the Stadium-Armory Metro, the local Safeway and the many restaurants near the Eastern Market Metro stop. While we usually ate only breakfast at the house, the kitchen was well-furnished and cooking more elaborate meals would have been possible. Since all of us are older and have more aches and pains than we used to, the quality of the beds was important to us. All three of the beds we used were quite comfortable, not too hard and not too soft with decent linens as well. The unit has basic cable which was adequate for our needs, but more importantly, wifi was included which was extremely helpful. The layout of the house was great with the living room, kitchen, dining area and powder room on the main floor. Upstairs are two bedrooms and full bath along with a washer and dryer. We were grateful for the washer/dryer since it meant we could pack a little lighter and do some laundry during our stay. We were very happy with this rental, but would advise anyone who has any mobility issues that the entryway to the house includes several stairs and that the stairs to the upstairs are somewhat steep as is common in homes of this vintage. You will find several Metro stops within .5-1.0 miles which allows you to access many, many of the attractions and museums in the Washington, DC area. If you need a taxi, those are easy to find as well. We would certainly return to this unit in the future."

"Pilgrim Quarters was a great property for our family of four, we really enjoyed our stay here in DC. The apartment was spacious, affordable, well decorated, and had great character. The neighborhood is in transition, with some nicer restaurants located nearby on the "H Street Corridor". Our kids were exposed to living in a true urban environment, which was one of our goals. However, we felt quite safe walking in the neighborhood. We were a few blocks away from a large grocery store, and we took advantage of that by eating a few meals at the apartment.
Regarding the amenities: the Wi-Fi worked as promised (very important to our teens). The Washer wasn't working properly, so we had to hand-wring clothes prior to drying (this was really the only inconvenience, since we were on the 2nd week of a two-week vacation). The kitchen was well suited for actually making a few meals, and eating-in. The Bus stop was right around the corner, which took us to the National Mall area. We had great communication with the property owners ahead of time, which fully prepared us for our stay. All-in-all, there was plenty of room for us to stretch out and relax here after several full days of exploring Washington D.C. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for an affordable, comfortable stay in the Capital!"
