"Coming from overseas and West Coast, this property was a definite plus. As the East Coast organizer, I knew we wanted to be walking distance to most things, have room to visit, a room for each couple and the ability to prepare some meals. It was perfect - in fact, we had breakfast and dinner there every day! One could easily prepare quite a fancy dinner there!
Lauren was very helpful - she attended to little items very quickly and was easily reachable.
We would stay there again in. A minute and our friends made notes about how to reserve so
"the word" will spread! The pool looked great but was not open for the season yet."

"We loved our stay at the Carriage House! The space was perfect for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary in the city. Ken did an incredible job of making us feel welcomed from the moment we inquired about the property. He was thoughtful to personalize our experience to D.C., and when we walked into the dining room he had a bottle of wine and 2 wine glasses out for our special occasion. In addition, he provides a guide to near by eateries, maps of the city, books about D.C, etc. (Go to 8th Street - amazing food there!)
The first day we made a rookie mistake and walked all the way down to the Washington Monument (1.5 miles), then we discovered the beauty of having the Metro subway so close to the house! We utilized this and felt like pros by the time vacation was over. We loved our stay. Everything was perfect. Ken was able to be reached quickly if we had any questions. Parking on the street is simple and easy to obtain from the police station. You will not regret your decision to book your stay here."

"This property was absolutely amazing! The place was beautifully set up and the perfect location. Close to the metro, and easily accessible to everything we needed. We parked in front of the property and only used our car for a trip to Georgetown. Cannot say enough good things about our experience!! Great location.....beautiful, comfortable home and nice, quiet neighborhood!!."

"Great place that gives you the feel of living in DC Capital Hill area. Coming from the Southwest, this was unique to us and beat a hotel with five of us. We had plenty of room for the family and the property is well equipped, very clean, and modern decor. Wifi was strong, neighborhood was friendly, and we were close to the US Capital, Library of Congress, and US Supreme Court...all on our list of "must see" for this trip. Enjoyed being able to stroll down to see the 8 p.m. military band perform on the steps of the Capital while the sun set behind the Washington Monument. Really appreciated the parking permit dropped off promptly, and is a MUST if you are renting a car. The parking, however, is very limited and be prepared to look around for a bit for a space. Still, some easy drop off, pick up areas and always found spaces none beyond a block. Also, good thing my wife read the bit about moving the car on street sweeping day. Streets in DC were a bit difficult to navigate for us, and if you are heading down the National Mall or to the White House, I recommend public transport or the Capital Bike Share. Still, so many things to see along the way, that our family (wife/myself and two teens) walked the entire way with one quick on and off a bus... the advice to wear good walking shoes is no joke. If you plan on seeing the monuments on the west side, definitely take transport. 7-11 just nearby for quick stock up, but no gas. Be sure to arrange a Capital Tour with your State Senator's or Representative's office at least 3 weeks in advance to avoid the long lines and get a more personal tour. Bit of a moth ball smell when first entering the property, but noticed no bugs at all, so must be doing the job. Air conditioning was spot on and controls are very simple to use and respond quickly. Great to have three restrooms and all pristine."
