Great House for seeing the sights in Washington, DC
"The five of us (me, my parents, my husband, and 13 year old son) had a great vacation. You can walk to many of the sights and Union Station is only a five minute walk away for those places that are too far to walk. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. We especially loved the Toscana Cafe, where each of us got a different meal and they were all delicious. Giant Supermarket was close as well. The Duck Boat Tour (which I recommend) and the Big Bus Tour both leave from Union Station. Secure parking and owner was easy to reach when I had a question."

"The apt was very clean, neat and tidy. The neighborhood is very nice and seems relatively safe (it is in DC though so keep that in mind). The furnishing were nice and the bed comfortable. Even the futon mattress was fine for sleeping on. This place is close to everything!! We walked almost everywhere within 20 minutes or so. Lots of cool restaurants and clubs nearby and a great market.
Only suggestion would be to perhaps have face clothes available? Plenty of towels were provided and insuite washer/dryer was a blessing. There were also ants starting to make their way into the bathroom.
Our stay was tainted just a bit by an apparent herd of elephants that were staying in the apt above. We could hear every foot step of the 4 beheamoths that were staying there at all hours of the day and night. They were also quite rude by congregating right outside the bedroom window after an obvious night of drinking.
Would definitely try to book again in the future!"

"This was our second trip to DC so we knew the Eastern Market Capitol Hill area BUT we were so amazed by this wonderful And convenient location to the Metro, restaurants and stores. This is a delightful apartment in a lovely neighborhood. Kirk provided many resources for the area, a parking permit for the one night we still had the car (no need for car at all, but had not returned it on arrival). The apartment is comfortably and tastefully furnished, let alone spacious, even with a back deck for outside relaxing.
We attended events at the Kennedy Center, free shuttle bus picks you up from Metro exit. Eastern Market Metro takes you almost anywhere you want to go in DC. The Eastern Market has the tastiest pastas, sausages and cheeses, veggies and fruit for easy meals at home. We enjoyed Trattoria Alberto on our last night, feels like you are a regular, authentic Italian food.
Though there are 3 suites in the one building, accommodations were private and quiet. The accommodations are what we would call apartments. We felt safe in the area no matter what time we arrived home. Halloween night was a fun happening just up the street in front of the Eastern Market.
We sincerely appreciated the barely half block to the front door from the Metro after filling our day with major treks through museums, the Capitol, White House Tidal Basin and other historical sites. Kirk had recommended DC tours. The night tour was fantastic with a comfortable ride in a small van and stops with time for photos at major monuments.
We would not hesitate to recommend Eastern Market Suites to family and friends. This will be our first choice for a return trip."

"We rented the apartment for our son who was doing an Internship at the Capitol. It was close enough for him to walk each day to and from work. He was very happy with the apartment and it's layout. It had everything he needed for the time he was going to be in D.C. All we needed to do was buy him food. Perfect for his parents and him. If he needed anything he could walk a couple of blocks in any direction and find what he needed. The owners were a great help providing info, especially things a 21 year old would be interested in."
