"Our first time to DC and this place was superbly located, you could literally walk everywhere! The dwelling is beautiful, neat, clean and appealing. The owners are fabulous individuals and very accommodating. Everyone in our family was impressed and i would absolutely stay here again and encourage anyone visiting DC to take advantage of this gem. Thank you Jim & Patrick for a great place to stay :)"

"My family and I had a wonderful DC vacation. The Host (Mr. Bailey) was very knowledgeable, helpful, and welcoming. 1st off he allowed us (me, wife, 9 yo, 4 yo, and 18 mos) to check in early at 10 am. After we freshened up from our "red eye" flight from California, he took us on a tour of the neighborhood. Showing us the local eateries (to many to list $ to $$$) and grocery store (Trader Joe). He gave us metro pointers and the apartment is 2 to 5 min walk to station, remember we had a 4 yo and a 18 mos old in tow. YOU WONT NEED A CAR at this location to get around, but I did see a zipcar station within 2 minutes from the doorsteps. As far as the neighborhood vibe/energy it was safe day and night, seemed to be a mixture of locals and tourist specially during the weekend at the local eateries. The apartment was a decent size for us the bedroom in the back was nice size, the air mattress was a plus (kids loved it). The kitchen had the basic for cooking, but try the local restaurant they where good (Bens Chili bowl, U Street Café, Boss Burgers, The Bake house). Apartment had air condition, which was needed for relief (90 plus days with high humidity), and a washer and dryer. Mr. Bailey's place had everything you need to for a stay in DC. I have rented many times using VRBO and Home away. This apartment met expectations, but what put the place over the top was the host. He treated us like family even bringing home made cupcake to our children. If you want to rent a place where the host: is a local to the area, is accommodating, friendly, more than willing to help and give suggestion to make your stay pleasant then book Mr. Bailey property."

"This house was the perfect historic, atmospheric and wholly unique setting for a cousins reunion! The large, comfortable common rooms were ideal for gathering to look at old photos, watch Saturday college football, Happy Hour, morning coffee, late night gabbing in pajamas, etc. At the same time, everyone had complete privacy with the number of bedrooms and baths. The location is superb with some of DC's hottest restaurants in walking distance. We enjoyed Tico for tapas, Le Diplomat for brunch and Lupo Verde for Italian -- all about three/four blocks away. Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Safeway, CVS, wine shops also within walking distance. House was an easy Uber ride to all the DC sights. The best part of the weekend, though, was the time spent cooking and drinking and hanging out together in this house. There's nothing else like it in DC for a large group!"

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay. The location was perfect for our treks around the capital....close to the subway "U station"; lots of great restaurants close by and beautiful neighborhood to stroll. The garden apartment was clean, comfortable, quite and cool. We would recommend it for a couple---probably a bit too small for a family"
