  • Great neighborhood, lovely apartment

"My sister and I loved coming home to our bustling neighborhood from the convenient U Street Metro each day after a busy day of exploring the sites. Trader Joe's half a block away was always a good option for quick food when we weren't up to going out to eat. When we were there were many choices of really good restaurants to choose from. The apartment is well equipped and we appreciated the basic supplies that were provided: soap, toilet paper, dish washing soap,etc.. We enjoyed the ambience and tasteful art that fills the walls. The bathroom is beautifully tiled and it has a great shower. The only inconvenience for us was the tight quarters around the large bed in the bedroom. We highly recommend the apartment and the neighborhood."

  • Good....but has potential to be awesome

"Neighborhood was good. Close to the metro and grocery store, restaurants, etc. We were able to stay on budget by eating breakfast in the apartment every day. (We stayed 7 days.) The building itself was maintained nicely even though I'm sure it must be pretty old. The week we were there the temps were in the. 80's and 90's, so it really brought that old musty smell out of the carpeting in the hallways. The apartment was nice and has been updated sometime in the last 5 years or so. Beds were comfortable but there wasn't an extra blanket in the place. Good thing it was warmer than usual and my kids were comfortable sleeping with just sheets on the sofa bed. Also, the bathtubs in both bathrooms were a little yucky. I'm sure they were clean but the porcelain is worn down from age and should be reglazed. There was mold growing in some of the shower tiles and around the soap dish. The sectional couch in the living room was comfortable but grubby looking. Overall, our experience was a good one and we would definitely stay there again as it is less expensive than renting 2 fairly nice hotel rooms with the same kinds of amenities and good location. The apartment was overall a good value, but a little more attention to details and cleanliness would have made it excellent."

  • Choose me!

"My friend and I had a great stay in DC in this clean condo. There is easy access to public transit, though we tended to walk down 18th street every day to get back to the sites. Handy to have transit cards that were provided for easy reload, nice pool, close to Safeway and drug store, extra sheets if you want to make up a couch instead of sharing the bed and sometimes cookies in the lobby… Deborah is very quick to respond to all questions or comments and eager to make your stay comfortable. As advertised and much better than staying at a hotel!"
