"Had a great stay at Eva's 1-bedroom apartment. It was clean and nice. Loved that Trader Joe's was just around the corner, and there were so many restaurants and bars nearby to choose from. It was almost as pictured - only difference was that it had a dark grey couch instead of the white one, but I had no complaints about that since it was super comfy. And based on the reviews, I was prepared for the three flights of stairs. Lovely spot and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there when I'm in DC again. Thanks, Eva!"

"This is a very spotless apartment and building and we congratulate the owner for keeping it well maintained. The interior decor is nicely put together although the sofa is very uncomfortable for sitting to read or watch television. The proximity to downtown DC is convenient when using the Metro rail. If you are 65+ you can get a senior card and pay half the normal fare. Elizabeth was very responsive to our needs and even loaned us a fold-up cart to tote our groceries from the nearby Target and Giant supermarket. My main concern with the apartment is the safety of the bathroom shower tub area as it does not have grab bars or non-slip appliques to help minimize slip and fall accidents. That being said, we would definitely recommend this apartment and would stay here again on our next visit."

"A family of five found this just right with one person staying on the sleeper sofa (IKEA) in living room. Well decorated. I read some other reviews and yes, almost all the homes in this area are rehabs with narrow, squeaky wooden stairs. It's just part of the homes in this area.
NOTE: If you rent the parking space - be sure to call early to ask how to open the door. You have to enter the home first and then find the remote to do so.
The 10-15 minute walk to the subway wasn't a burden, and there was also a bike rental spot right at the subway as well which we used."

"My teenage son and I stayed in this lovely apartment last week while we explored DC for his spring break.
The apartment was as described, wonderfully furnished and well taken care of. It was spacious and offered us each some privacy. The kitchen had everything we needed for casual meals (though I think there was enough to entertain a small dinner party!) and there were some household and food staples already in the cupboards.
Plenty of hangers, towels and linens were available for our use, and the stacked washer/dryer allowed us to pack lightly and come home with clean clothing! The shower was great!
I loved the proximity to the Dupont Circle metro, we traveled throughout the city without needing a car. Shopping was within walking distance and we felt quite safe even late at night.
We had a lot of sightseeing on our agenda so didn't spend much time with our host Ray, but he did offer a tour when we arrived. It was very nice to have the host upstairs just in case."
