  • charming capitol hill

"This apartment was perfect for our family of 4, which includes 2 teenage sons. It is in a quiet, charming neighborhood and is very conveniently located within walking distance of Metro, the Mall, and many restaurants / shops. The apartment is exactly as presented with all needs provided for (dishes, linen, kitchen items and the like), and the layout gave ample room for our sons to have a separate hang-out space. Enise was very helpful in recommending great places to eat in the area, taxi service, etc. If you plan to have a car, street parking in the Capitol Hill area appears very limited. Fortunately, for our sightseeing throughout Wash DC, Arlington and Alexandria, the Metro and taxi were all that we needed."

  • Perfect!

"This apartment is fantastic! It is clean, well equipped, safe and only steps from the Eastern Market Metro stop. I recommend it to anyone that wants to stay in a vibrant neighborhood. There are many wonderful restaurants within walking distance as well as the iconic Eastern Market. I will definitely book this apartment for my next trip."

  • Very comfortable and so spacious!

"I was traveling with college kids, adults, and seniors. This apartment was very conveniently located to public transit and some great restaurants, as well as grocery and drug stores. I was shocked at how much room there was. You could easily fit a couple of air beds in here (assuming the hosts are okay with that, of course). A full kitchen had all we needed to fix a great meal; grocery stores were within walking distance and the hosts left a binder with directions. A nice shower with plenty of hot water and decent water pressure. Very comfortable beds - we all slept like logs. Lots of seating space in the main room. We especially liked the location, as it is still a bit gritty and has some personality; we felt very safe the entire time, but not like we were in a cookie-cutter neighborhood. It is pretty quiet inside, as far as you can't hear much from the upstairs tenants. There is a lot of street noise during the day (trucks and buses), but it gets nice and quiet at night. Some nit-picky things: we never could get the wireless internet to work and we kept playing phone tag with the on-call person. Additionally, the tv is pretty small and not HD (I know, we're spoiled). The binder with directions could stand some extra input. We would definitely stay here again."

  • Like staying at a friend's house!

"My family of four (husband, me, 2 college-age children) stayed at Adam's place over the July 4th week, and we never stopped. So coming back to a homey, very comfortable rental with everything we needed and more was fantastic. There is so much room in the house (3 bedrooms, plus 2 large couches downstairs - oh, and 3 full baths. You can't beat that!), and it was really nice to spend time relaxing with the entire family at night after a very busy day on our feet. Adam was the best part. He was reachable any time of day, and so very welcoming. He knows DC like the back of his hand and is very handy with advice about transportation, shopping, eating, etc. We even had a repair problem while we were there (our fault), and Adam had the problem fixed before we came back that evening. My son also left an important book behind, and Adam is sending it to us this weekend. As far as getting in and out of DC -- Adam can direct you via the bus, but we just chose to drive our car to the Metro, which is within a few miles from the house. There is plenty of parking, and there is staff onsite to assist you with tickets. Also, we really liked Silver Spring for dinners, which is a 5-minute drive away, and offers a very family-friendly community square with plenty of restaurants and a movie theater, plus a little shopping (DSW, H&M to mention a few). I would highly recommend Adam's house. Thanks Adam! Sara"
