  • Relaxing Accommodated Holiday

"We stayed in Patricia's rental for the Christmas Holiday. It was an unbelievably relaxed stay. The home was well stocked and had a full range of amentities, was clean and well kept, and made us feel very much at home. We prepared a large family dinner and had all necessary to prepare it smoothly. The beds were comfy and nicely furnished/linened. Both living rooms held large comfy sofas and it was easy for us to lounge and enjoy quality time together! When we decided to visit the city we had a quick walk to the bus located across the street and with just a short ride we were at the metro. Very easy commute and more then convenient! We were thoroughly satisfied with this visit and will be back. I recommend this experience to all!"

  • Prime location and we would stay again

"First off, the location of the rental was great! I cannot say that enough! Shopping, grocery and food are all within walking distance. And the location felt safe, which is a plus. It is an urban neighborhood, which we really liked. Lots of people walking around, walking their dogs, so we didn't stick out like sore thumbs. We walked the first couple of days we were there, to U Street, to Ted's Bulletin on 14th, DC is really great for that and at this location we were pretty close to everything. The beds were extremely comfortable! Nice and plush. Plus the motion sensor on the stairs was really nice to have, since we often came in at night and when the hallway was dark; no problems there. As for the bathroom, it was small, as was mentioned. The water pressure was a little low, particularly in the bathroom sink, and there is a nice vanity mirror with light on the wall, but the light did not work. Also, the parking pass fee we were charged was $20 instead of $15. Not a big deal, but if the price has changed, it should be updated. We noticed that the freezer did not close all the way, and there are a few slats of hardwood that could be repaired. Just a few negatives, but nothing major. Keep in mind this is not a luxury hotel suite, it is an old building with great character. That being said, we would stay here again on another visit to DC, loved the convenience of having everything right there and the neighborhood charm."

  • Terrific Apartment

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this lovely and well-located apartment in the heart of Washington, DC. It has a an updated and well-stocked kitchen for those who might like to eat at home and the living room is well-appointed with modern furniture. As others have mentioned the bedroom is small but caused no problem for us. It is near the lively U Street corridor and there are lots of fabulous restaurants, bakeries, and coffee places in the area. There is easy access to the metro but we also walked from the apartment to the Mall. It is a very safe neighborhood. Eva was extremely quick and responsive to any questions. We liked the apartment so much we decided to stay an extra day. For travelers coming with a car, we would definitely recommend looking into a parking permit so you can park on the street. We used a parking lot and like most city parking, it was expensive. We look forward to returning to Washington again soon and staying in this great apartment."
