  • What luck to find this charming place.

"We were so lucky to find this place. The location was about a 10-15 minute walk from union station. So nice to walk to, great neighborhood. We walked back and forth from the Capital several times during our stay. It was a nice stroll. Parks nearby. Birds chirping. Not a lot of street noise. We really got some good work done because we had a kitchen, two bedrooms, wifi, and two baths. Try and find that in a hotel room! I loved the layout of the place. All common areas in the first floor for meetings, etc. of so,some needed to retire, they went up to the second floor, closed the door and the rest of us could keep on working and chatting and visiting. I would love to come back. Stairs aren't for everyone and there are two sets. We worked with it and our luggage survived intact. Public transpo nearby."

  • Very nice home in an excellent location

"This is the second time we've stayed at the Capital Hill area in DC and we always find it very convenient for our traveling. Ideally located close to two metro stations, abundant eateries and markets, and nicely developed Navy Yards. The home itself is spacious and comfortable. 4 bedrooms upstairs and a big living area downstairs. The kitchen is fully furnished with almost everything you'll need to prep meals. As the temp was over the 90s during our stay, we found the best aspect of the house was the pool. Nothing like coming back after all day walking and visiting sites and the jumping into the pool for a swim. The owner's daughter lives nearby and is very responsive to requests. She is also a great wealth of knowledge for local places to go."

  • Ideal apartment and location

"My husband, two 12-year-olds, and I stayed for 4 nights touring Washington DC for my kids' first time. We highly recommend this apartment for the following reasons: Convenient location Very clean Well appointed Ease of working with the owners Plenty of luxury linens Comfortable bed We parked when we got there in front of the apartment and didn't drive again until we checked out. We walked 15 minutes to the Capitol and Smithsonian. Other times we took the Metro only 1.5 blocks away to go to the Zoo, White House, and other tourist places. We always felt safe walking around and always saw others walking, too. The Eastern Market was really neat. Multiple vendors selling fruit, veggies, meat, fish--just a block away. (The apple fritters from the bakery vendor were a breakfast treat every day!) Plenty of restaurants right around the corner for every taste (including Starbucks, Baskin Robbins, and Dunkin Donuts when you crave something familiar). Seeing the Capitol building every time we left the condo was such a treat for me. "It's right there!" I told my kids they have no idea how fortunate they are to stay close enough to tour DC so easily. We were very pleased, and we look forward to returning for more apple fritters."

  • Great Washington DC experience!

"My husband, son and granddaughter spent seven days in the Garden apartment this month, and it was a terrific experience. The master bedroom was spacious enough for us to put the child's rollaway in there with us, leaving plenty of space. The bed was very comfortable, and there was plenty of closet and drawer space. The full kitchen allowed us to fix breakfast before we headed out to see the sights. The living room/ dining area was large enough for us to have our other son, daughter-in-law and grandson over in the evenings. My son said that the sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. One problem was that there was no bathtub, so was a problem to bathe the granddaughter. We just went to our son's hotel room and used theirs. I will say that if you were coming with a car, rent one of the parking spaces. That made it so nice to get the car off the road, and to be guarnteed a parking spot close to the apartment. I will recommend this sight to all my friends and family!"
