  • and the Oscar goes to Eva!

  • What luck to find this charming place.

"We were so lucky to find this place. The location was about a 10-15 minute walk from union station. So nice to walk to, great neighborhood. We walked back and forth from the Capital several times during our stay. It was a nice stroll. Parks nearby. Birds chirping. Not a lot of street noise. We really got some good work done because we had a kitchen, two bedrooms, wifi, and two baths. Try and find that in a hotel room! I loved the layout of the place. All common areas in the first floor for meetings, etc. of so,some needed to retire, they went up to the second floor, closed the door and the rest of us could keep on working and chatting and visiting. I would love to come back. Stairs aren't for everyone and there are two sets. We worked with it and our luggage survived intact. Public transpo nearby."

  • Great DC Place for the Whole Family

"My whole family had a great time in your townhouse this past weekend. It was the perfect place for all of us to stay while celebrating my sister's wedding. The layout was perfect for all of the families with their children, and the big room was used as a meeting/regrouping/storytelling room, as well as dining room. The location was perfect, too, with Giant, restaurants, and the metro so close to it. The townhouse helped make for a memorable DC experience!"

  • Great stay

"This was a really nice place to stay for our long weekend seeing friends get married in DC. really affordable price that was much appreciated. Everything was clean and ready for us as described. There was toilet paper, enough utensils, knives, pots etc for light cooking. Great grocery store and anything else needed on 14th st. We cooked, used the dishwasher, even had time to enjoy the in house laundry machine! Upstairs neighbor made a lot of noise at night. (Yoga? Jogging in place? Rearranging furniture?) but we used earplugs and it wasn't a problem and never lasted past 10 or 11. Only thing I'd note that I didn't see anyone else mention has nothing to do with the accommodations. The neighborhood appears to be going through a major flux due to the gentrification going on in Columbia Heights and surrounding areas. We did not feel unsafe at any time but we did receive hostile looks when walking around and noticed that the luxury restaurants over on 11th really stand out, especially if you walk a few blocks further east (we went over to Georgia ave on Sunday morning to check out a recommended coffee shop...whoa. Guy in deli was threatening the cashier and saying he would take us all hostage and blood would be spilt because he didn't want to pay the plastic bag tax. When we left that deli, another woman was arrested before our eyes a block away.) This kind of hard line between wealth and poverty is going on in all the big american cities right now obviously, so it's nothing new for most of us; but good to be aware what kind of vibe you are stepping into and to act accordingly with your best manners and conscientious behavior so as not to stir things up any further. There is definitely a lot of history in this area."
