  • Great week!!!

"We came for the Cherry Blossom Festival. The apartment was close to the Metro. We walked to the Eastern Market. The apartment met our all our needs. The furnishings were complete. There was a grocery store about 4 blocks away that allowed us to grab all the other foods we wanted for snacks, breakfast, etc. Natalie and Colin were great help. I would recommend this apartment for anyone sightseeing. We would recommend anyone coming to visit the Library of Congress, the National Cathedral, and the National Gallery of Art (in addition to the memorials and other museums). The Cherry Blossoms were gorgeous. When we didn't want to walk very far we found Uber was a great way to get to Georgetown and Arlington."

  • Great Base for Your Family to Explore D.C.

"What a perfect home base for our family to explore Washington this spring! The Georgia-Petworth Metro Station was just 2 blocks away (it will take you no more than 15 minutes to travel down to all the attractions!) and the best part is that the apartment is DOWNHILL from the station, so at the end of a long day walking, it's easy to get back home! There's also a Safeway grocery store right around the corner. On our first night in town we stopped there and bought breakfast food and saved a pile eating in every morning, making eggs and biscuits and things in the little kitchen! The apartment was a great size for our family of four - our kids are 8 and 11. There's a nice room for mom and dad to sleep in, an alcove with a futon where the kids can sleep together or one can sleep there and the other on the pull out couch! In the evening, there was plenty of room for us all to stretch out and get some downtime after seeing the sights for hours. Two things to consider. 1) We are all average height folks, my husband is 5' 10, but I could see taller people being a little uncomfortable with the lower ceilings. 2) The parking space is tight! I have a Kia Sedona and it was a challenge parking it. Not complaining - I was thrilled to have a spot to keep it while we were in town - but if you have a big SUV it might not work for you! Rachel was a great host, the place was welcoming as soon as we walked in and her direction for finding the place as well as using the amenities inside were helpful and clear. Well, we tried to do it all on our little spring break but Washington is just so full of amazing things to do. Looks like we'll have to go back again and I would definitely stay in this place a second time!"

  • Terrific Apartment

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this lovely and well-located apartment in the heart of Washington, DC. It has a an updated and well-stocked kitchen for those who might like to eat at home and the living room is well-appointed with modern furniture. As others have mentioned the bedroom is small but caused no problem for us. It is near the lively U Street corridor and there are lots of fabulous restaurants, bakeries, and coffee places in the area. There is easy access to the metro but we also walked from the apartment to the Mall. It is a very safe neighborhood. Eva was extremely quick and responsive to any questions. We liked the apartment so much we decided to stay an extra day. For travelers coming with a car, we would definitely recommend looking into a parking permit so you can park on the street. We used a parking lot and like most city parking, it was expensive. We look forward to returning to Washington again soon and staying in this great apartment."
