"First off, the location of the rental was great! I cannot say that enough! Shopping, grocery and food are all within walking distance. And the location felt safe, which is a plus. It is an urban neighborhood, which we really liked. Lots of people walking around, walking their dogs, so we didn't stick out like sore thumbs. We walked the first couple of days we were there, to U Street, to Ted's Bulletin on 14th, DC is really great for that and at this location we were pretty close to everything. The beds were extremely comfortable! Nice and plush. Plus the motion sensor on the stairs was really nice to have, since we often came in at night and when the hallway was dark; no problems there. As for the bathroom, it was small, as was mentioned. The water pressure was a little low, particularly in the bathroom sink, and there is a nice vanity mirror with light on the wall, but the light did not work. Also, the parking pass fee we were charged was $20 instead of $15. Not a big deal, but if the price has changed, it should be updated. We noticed that the freezer did not close all the way, and there are a few slats of hardwood that could be repaired. Just a few negatives, but nothing major. Keep in mind this is not a luxury hotel suite, it is an old building with great character. That being said, we would stay here again on another visit to DC, loved the convenience of having everything right there and the neighborhood charm."
