"We were so lucky to find this place. The location was about a 10-15 minute walk from union station. So nice to walk to, great neighborhood. We walked back and forth from the Capital several times during our stay. It was a nice stroll. Parks nearby. Birds chirping. Not a lot of street noise. We really got some good work done because we had a kitchen, two bedrooms, wifi, and two baths. Try and find that in a hotel room! I loved the layout of the place. All common areas in the first floor for meetings, etc. of so,some needed to retire, they went up to the second floor, closed the door and the rest of us could keep on working and chatting and visiting. I would love to come back. Stairs aren't for everyone and there are two sets. We worked with it and our luggage survived intact. Public transpo nearby."Guest: Beth Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 13, 2014View listing
"In a recent trip to D.C. for work, we added on a 4 night stay to take in the sites. We've started using VRBO in lieu of corporate hotels and again were not disappointed! This brownstone is located a 1/2 block in off of a very trendy street (14th St) with lots of great outdoor restaurants/bars, shopping, Trader Joes, and a Wells Fargo. The weather was nice, so we walked many blocks to the White House. The apartment itself was well appointed and CLEAN. We had a few random questions for Eva, which she promptly and kindly answered via email. While we felt very safe in this neighborhood (lots of professional people) the only suggestion would be to add a deadbolt to the apartment door for increased security."Guest: Carly & Brian Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 22, 2014View listing
"This was such a great apt to stay in. The owner was also great. Had a small issue and she called right away even though it was after 900pm. Not only stopped by on our final day but brought donuts and let us keep our luggage at the apt after check out time as we had a late afternoon flight. The kitchen was fully stock for cooking and the apt a nice out door patio were we had some friends over for dinner. Will stay here again when back in DC with the family."Guest: NelsonJ Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 18, 2014View listing
"The apartment was excellent, clean, well appointed. Easy access to and from Metro by foot. We spent over a week in Washington DC sightseeing and found the return to the apartment relaxing and perfect for cooking and grilling our meals. We have 4 teenage children and we all fit. Bikes are a great addition to the stay. We rode down to the Lincoln Memorial and around the mall and in the neighborhood to the nearby Safeway supermarket. There was a ZipCar hourly rental car just 2 blocks away we used as well for our trip to the Atlantic Ocean one day. We recommend the restaurant "Ted's Bulletin" on 8th street. Fun and delicious."Guest: Karl Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 18, 2014View listing
