  • Clean, Comfortable, and What a View!

"This is our second time renting from Anthony and the process was still smooth as ever. It's been two long years and this stay we were greeted with some updated amenities; flat screen lcd tv in living room (not that we used it much), new couch, new dining table, and new bedspreads. One thing I would like to point out is that the king size mattress in the master bedroom is getting a little long in the tooth. One side is collapsed a bit, and you feel as if you have to climb out of a slight hole if you try to move closer to the opposite side. The memory foam topper doesn't help much for this. And we also wished again, see prior review, for some large plastic bowls to put fresh fruit in, or popcorn, or whatnot. The one glass bowl is certainly not childproof, and is not enough. But alas, these aren't deal breakers at all and we will continue to be customers of Anthony's in the future as the condo in general is kept in good repair and you just can't beat the location, or the view! How would you like to be overlooking a lake and watch an alligator crawl up onto the shore to sun him or her self? We saw one just as we were about to "check out" and I grabbed a picture or two as my 8 yr old daughter stood in awe from the safety of our balcony. To be honest, the alligator crawled up well away from any of the actual buildings at Vista Cay. As they say in real estate, "Location, Location, Location". Here's a quick rundown of amenities and approx. time / distances (all estimates without traffic, and depending on time of year, traffic can be quite heavy): Isles of Cay Commons pool (50-75 yds), Main Vista Cay pool and main clubhouse / gift shop / bar (1/4 mile walk on a beautiful lakefront sidewalk), Publix / Universal Liquors / Dunkin' Donuts / NYPD Pizza (the BEST in Orlando) (1/8 mile walk or drive), Walgreens (as someone we talked to pointed out, this one has no pharmacy) (1/2 mile walk or drive), Convention Center (1 mile), the "heart" of I-Drive (2 miles), SeaWorld (10 mins), Disney (20 mins), Universal Studios (15 mins), Orlando MCO International airport (15 mins), Grills Seafood Deck and Tiki Bar in Port Canaveral (waterfront next to a cruise ship terminal) (50 mins), and Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach (excellent easy beach access with bathrooms!) (1 hour). This condo is Pirate approved! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!"

  • Vacation Home in Quiet Neighborhood 30 Minutes from Disney

"I have been renting this home for 4 years and renting from Behlor Realty for 5 years. My experience has been highly satisfactory. I plan to continue to rent from them in the future. Michelle and Steve, the property managers, are great people. They’ve always been very helpful and responsive to any of my requests. The home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood about 30 minutes (15 miles or so) from Disney World. The drive to Disney World is fairly simple, with only a few turns necessary. The 4 bedroom (two master bedrooms) home is very nicely decorated. There aren’t any restaurants within walking distance of the home, but the home is fully furnished with everything necessary to cook one’s own meals. There are several supermarkets (Publix) near the home. We spent quite a bit of time eating in the resort area. A fifteen minute drive will get you to just about any restaurant you could imagine. The house has a screened Lanai with 2 pools and a Jacuzzi. So we could just relax in and around the pool on the days we didn’t go up to the resort area"

  • a little disappointed this time

"We have stayed at Vista Cay on 4 different occasions and this was the most frustrating stay of all of them. We choose Vista Cay for a variety of reasons including the ability to make our own meals. The unit had minimal pots and pans which made that very difficult. For example, there were no mixing bowls so I had to mix pancake batter in a drink pitcher. I couldn't make something as simple as spaghetti because there was only one large pot. There were minimal washcloths in the unit and NO dishcloths at all. I was washing dishes with a kitchen hand towel. The good news is all of this can be easily corrected, making the next families stay much less frustrating."
