  • A Little Slice of Heaven

"When you go away you always miss home a little bit but not when you visit and stay at this home. The owners, Josie and Oz could not have made you feel more at home in this beautiful and spacious residence located on a large property overlooking a breathtaking view of the lake. Every little detail imaginable was there in the home that Josie made sure we had. After a brief review of the home and its workings we were on our own and didn't see the owners for the rest of our stay but felt comfortable knowing that they were just around the corner if we needed them. We didn't. The location of this home was perfect for us with plenty to do. Nice places to eat and visit. If Josie and Oz will have us back we'll be planning our trip for next year."

  • Family Reunion

"What a great place for a family reunion! We celebrated my dad's 80th birthday party and Father's day in the same weekend. Everything was just as described on the website. Everything is clean and the grounds are well maintained. The bunk house is so fun. The kids enjoyed the "play pen" as they called it. It's a small room just for the little kids that has a bed, toys, books and a tv that plays vhs movies to entertain the kids at night before they head off to bed. There are also bunk beds which the kids flipped a coin for the top bunk. Full refrigerator upstairs in case it was needed if the kitchen frig is too full. The master suite is GORGEOUS! Great big bed with a balcony and two sitting areas. The Cottage where my parents stayed was perfect because my dad could not do the stairs. There is a place to gather outside under a covered area for every meal that accomodated our whole group. It was nice to eat together and then visit in one area. Oh the beach area is awesome! Lots of sand and open area for everyone, chairs and loungers provided. The beach house is so darling. It also has a frig so that you can have popsicles for the kids and cold drinks too. The breeze is just right and the sunsets are perfect. We had a photographer come and take family photos of our group. One with the water in the background and the other with the beautiful flowers that the owner's have planted. There is also a huge oak tree that would be great for photos. Scottie and Larry are the best. Oh Sam's and Walmart are close by so you can wait until you get there to do your food shopping. You don't have to carry a bunch of coolers. It's also nice and quiet. The beach is private so you get it all to yourself. Room to park your boat and they have a canoe and kayak to use. Beach umbrellas if you don't want to sit in the direct sun. We brought our two dogs too. Scottie and Larry THANKS for EVERYTHING!"

  • Bill & Sue

"Our stay was more than expected! The very comfortable home (With everything included...right down to spices for cooking!), the beautiful white sand beach, the deck leading out to the pier, the wildlife (Ducks were regular visitors, and Sand Hill cranes also stopped by), the peace and quiet. Suzanne made us feel right at home. I would recommend this lake home to everyone. Looking foward to next years stay!"

  • Indelible Memories

"I thought I would include my 15 year old daughter's perspective which she wrote into the Guest Book: "We spent my Dad's 50th birthday here and I don't think there could be any place better to celebrate! A ton of laughs, screams and memories made. Had just as much or more fun than expected. Great place!" The time we spent at your home has made indelible memories for my entire family. We brought our boat and spent countless hours on the lake tubing, knee-boarding, etc. Your home provided us with the perfect location to get away from our busy lives. Ocklawaha is a great sleepy little town with major amenities only a short drive away (if needed). The only regret was that we didn't get to see the sunsets as we were robbed of that by Mother Nature and the typical Florida evening showers. But this allowed us to gather as a Family and play numerous board games that again proved to be the perfect setting for unforgettable times. We will be back, if not just for the missed sunsets, to continue on the great start to a family tradition at Lake Weir. Thank you for all that you provided - what a great place! Sincerely, The Feaster Family of Central Florida"

Lake Weir Travel Tips

Lake Weir Villas: One Stop Stay or Base Camp

Lake Weir vacation homes are planted squarely in the middle of everything. However, it is just far enough away from everything to make you feel as if it is the destination itself. If you are one who desires to use your vacation as a true escape from tension, then this just finished your search. Orlando vacation rentals gets you to Lake Weir and Little Lake Weir. If you are not satisfied with that, the area is almost more inland water than it is land. The choices of lake homes at Lake Weir villas are wide and they are definite quality. This allows you to make this the final stop on your journey and simply relax, swim or fish.

Leesburg to Expand Your Vacation

You will probably want to wander away to the nearby town of Leesburg where you will find an endless supply of shops, food and golf. As for the golf: Leesburg and the surrounding area includes at least ten courses. If you head the opposite direction on the highway, you will find even more. The entire area is a natural haven for one of two things: Golf and horses. If those happen to be your interest, you just found heaven. Once the golf and exploring ventures are over, you can find just about every cuisine you want in Leesburg. For something out of the ordinary, try The Tandoor. It is East Indian cuisine. They have a large menu, prices are affordable and they have buffets.

You Don't Want to Drive?

That's no problem. Stay at Lake Weir vacation homes and find two golf courses very close by. Two semi-private courses, Orange Blossom Hills Country Club and Stonecrest Golf Club are literally out your back door. If you want to wander around in a beautifully kept villa just to relax, The Villages is a hop away from Lake Weir villas as well.
