"we stayed 3 1/2 months and absolutely loved it. Wish we had a boat it would have been even better. It is conveniently located between the Villages and Ocala and plenty of activities to do. You are an hour from Disney and an hour from Daytona Beach and an hour and half from Clearwater Beach. We loved the relax atmosphere that the owners have given to the home. You do have several restaurants within minutes of the place but a wide variety within the Villages and Ocala. We also travelled around Florida to a lot the attraction sites of small cities for unique shopping to other attractions. Perfect location overall. Owners are very nice and always willing to help with whatever your needs. The place is very equipped with what you need. Overall I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends and would go back myself."

  • Bill & Sue

"Our stay was more than expected! The very comfortable home (With everything included...right down to spices for cooking!), the beautiful white sand beach, the deck leading out to the pier, the wildlife (Ducks were regular visitors, and Sand Hill cranes also stopped by), the peace and quiet. Suzanne made us feel right at home. I would recommend this lake home to everyone. Looking foward to next years stay!"

  • A Little Slice of Heaven

"When you go away you always miss home a little bit but not when you visit and stay at this home. The owners, Josie and Oz could not have made you feel more at home in this beautiful and spacious residence located on a large property overlooking a breathtaking view of the lake. Every little detail imaginable was there in the home that Josie made sure we had. After a brief review of the home and its workings we were on our own and didn't see the owners for the rest of our stay but felt comfortable knowing that they were just around the corner if we needed them. We didn't. The location of this home was perfect for us with plenty to do. Nice places to eat and visit. If Josie and Oz will have us back we'll be planning our trip for next year."

  • What a lovely place

"We are a happily married couple that decided to stay at this lovely home with our two grown children. Our children loved playing in the shallow clear water. The beach is white fluffy sand and fun for my husband and I to just sit and watch sunset on. We'd love to come visit again, and definitely recommend this place to anyone!"

Ocklawaha Travel Tips

Ocklawaha Villas Connects You to Everything

Orlando vacation rentals have a unique direction for you if you are Florida bound and are not quite sure how you want to attack your travels there. Ocklawaha Villas themselves are a group of homes on or near Lake Weir that are, in and of themselves, a vacation alone. The variety of choices is high and many of the homes are designed for you to drop the luggage and simply relax as they offer everything, including the lake.

Central Hub to Florida

The temptation to simply stay at your Ocklawaha villas home will be high. Not only are the homes beautiful and private, they offer you two spring fed lakes in which to swim. If you get the travel itch, you are within an hour and a half or less to either coast. That is a remarkable feat in itself that only a peninsula like Florida can offer. Orlando, Daytona, Gainesville and Ocala are at your command rather quickly. When you are finished with your tourism, you have a lakefront home in which to crash. Don't forget the groceries so when you get to Ocklawaha vacation homes, it really feels like home. Raid the fridge and hit the lake.

Doing Local?

Circle Square Commons Farmer's Market, in nearby Ocala, will make your Ocklawaha vacation homes stay that much more at home. They provide foods from local growers as well as a variety of other goods such as handmade soaps and baked goods. Their goal is to promote local growers and artisans, consequently, you won't be buying prepackaged double plastic wrapped corporate stuff. You get the real thing. If you are interested in restaurants, Ocala has a wide variety. If you want something a little bit different, try Amrit Palace Indian Restaurant. And, if you want a little more exotic on your Ocklawaha vacation homes menu, they have takeout as well.
