  • Perfect weekend!

"For a taste of "Old Florida", fabulous views and sunsets, stay at this Loft/Chalet. Perfect for 2 and adequately appointed, just bring your groceries and step back in time for a quiet spot that's just close enough by car or boat to quaint Mount Dora and the ever evolving town of Tavares. Bob is a great "host" and couldn't have been nicer when booking our get-away."

  • Lovely Home

"This is a very nice spacious home with a lovely pool conveniently situated a short drive from the charming town of Mount Dora. We did not actually get to meet the owners, but Terry was very easy to deal with and always answered my enquiries in good time."

  • Comfy, clean and great location!

"We had a very relaxing few days at this villa and would highly recommend it. The owner was quite easy to deal with and the villa was exactly as shown on the site and was clean and inviting. We especially loved the comfy bed and living room furniture. It was really nice having two bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and we ended up cooking there several times. Loved having beautiful gardenia bushes in the yard! It was a very easy drive to cute Mt. Dora. We would stay here again."

  • Mt. Dora Lakehouse

"When you walk into this home, the view says it all! Wow! The home was very comfortable for six adults. The common areas were open enough that we could all be together but have space to do a variety of activities...watch TV, play games at the dining room table, visit around the kitchen island. My only "complaint" is that water would turn off in the middle of a shower. I believe in conserving water and energy, but didn't really enjoy standing with soap all over while the timer would cycle back on. My mom also suggested installing some grab bars in the 2nd bathroom . Since the water is so soft, it makes getting out of the tub a little dicey. Just some suggestions! Overall...we loved it! Thank you, Bob, for the opportunity to share the beauty of the lake!"

Mount Dora Travel Tips

Mount Dora Villas Let You Get Pampered

Mount Dora is the kind of place where you think you're just going to rent one of the Mount Dora villas for your Orlando vacation — a bedroom community where you might have breakfast, but otherwise you'll just stay there because there's no traffic and no crime to speak of. While these things are true of this little centennial town, Mount Dora vacation homes are nestled into a town that's fun enough that Orlando just might have to wait awhile. After all, any place where the website has a section on "getting pampered" really ought to have your attention just to see how well they're going to treat you when you come around.

Tons of Laid Back Fun

You could leave the Mount Dora villas behind and go check out Orlando — it's a pretty short drive, after all. Or you could take some time to check out one of the highest places in Florida — 184 feet above sea level, that is. Considering that such a small town can be host to half a dozen coffee shops, the local vibe is relaxed to the point of almost being comatose. If Mount Dora were any more laid back, you'd see people taking siestas in the streets.

Laid Back Isn't Boring

Just don't think that Mount Dora vacation homes are where an exciting time goes to die. Considering the fact that nearby Eustis is home to renowned kayaking tours, and Mount Dora itself is home to hang gliding tours (where you're matched up in a tandem hang glider with a certified instructor, if you've never hang glided before), you can still get your adrenaline going. This is saying nothing of the fact that this is still Florida — you can pretty much walk to anywhere in Mount Dora. These may be the perfect Orlando vacation rentals for your next Orlando vacation.
