  • Wonderful Stay!

"My family stayed at this home for a 2 week stay at Disney. I loved dealing directly with the owner from time of booking and through our vacation. We were able to call her for great tips and even directions when we got in the park. It was great having more than enough room for all of my family and being able to sit outside on the patio to have coffee in the morning. The kitchen is beautiful and all appliances are new. Very clean and cozy. The kids loved the towels made into animals on the beds when we arrived. The home is very close to Animal Kingdom but not in the downtown noise, although you can listen to the fireworks while you are in the pool at night. Just sad that we had to leave."

"The house was beautiful, clean, very well maintained, reasonably private and well equipped. We enjoyed the pool, grill, Great Location, (Missed the sport Canels on TV.) The house owner are super responsive. We would stay again. Thanks again! Very enjoyable stay."

  • Wonderful vacation home!

"This was just the perfect house for our vacation! Having a larger, older family (6 total, only 1 under 18) we were looking for a home that allowed each member some space and privacy while still being close to the parks/attractions with amenities we could all enjoy and we found it in this home. Nicely situated at the rear of the neighborhood backed up onto the lake which allowed for more privacy than many of the other homes we looked at. The inside was exceptionally nice and well laid out (in fact we felt that the pictures on the site did not really do it justice, the home is even more beautiful than the pictures show). Just like the other reviews state this is just a couple minutes from the local supermarket providing the opportunity to do some grocery shopping to help minimize food expenses throughout the week we were there and is very close to all of the theme parks, this home had everything we needed. From the highly functional kitchen layout to the multiple bathrooms on each floor to screened in pool/spa area to the game room this home had everything we could want and then some (plus seeing the resident alligator in the lake behind the house one evening was definitely a highlight during out stay)! Overall it was a wonderful home that I would definitely recommend for anyone traveling near Orlando that is looking for more space than the resorts provide at a MUCH more attractive rate! We will be staying here again!"

  • Quiet and fantastic

"First of all I need to mention that I have anxiety when I can hear people late at night when traveling. We stayed at an All Star resort last time, and it's horrible! So my quest this trip was to find a decent QUIET alternative. This condo is fantastic! The top floor option, beautiful pictures and furnishings, and the lake were the perfect set up for quiet. My family (me, husband, son and daughter) were there Nov 8-15. We had a ton of space! The sectional couch and huge tv are great. Makes me want to buy the same pieces for myself!) The kids had their own rooms and tvs. We were able to relax a lot! Perfectly located to access all Disney parks plus Universal very easily. We hardly saw anybody while we stayed at this condo. A few MINOR things: I thought the pool hours were restricted, and closed at 10pm. A few nights a family or 2 braved to cool night air and stayed in the pool till well after 10pm...sometimes after 11pm. But I have to say that even though I could hear people, it wasn't that loud. I don't know if there are employees monitoring the pool at all, so it would have been nice if those guests were sent back to their condo. The other thing were ants. Saw a few tiny ants in the kitchen/foyer area. No big deal...until my son pointed out a huge swarm of ants on the baseboard in his bedroom. We bought ant spray and traps, cleaned it up and never saw them again. Makes me wonder if the cleaning crew is through between guest visits. But these things didn't change my feelings about this rental. I would definitely come back to Emerald Isle again! We would have spent twice the money (or more) to stay in a moderate or deluxe resort on Disney and got half (or less) the amenities. Having a car there allowed us to eat at other restaurants and go to the movies. The Publix was close for grocery shopping too which was nice. Lee is fantastic to deal with as well. My emails and questions were answered promptly. You get all the information you need and it's easy to follow. I'd love to come back and stay here! This rental is worth every penny!"

Orlando Travel Tips

Orlando sits in central Florida, a not so far drive from either coast and surrounded by several beautiful lakes. Just a two-hour drive from Jacksonville and three hours from Miami, you can reach the ocean in about 50 minutes.

There are plenty of attractions to see and places to visit in Orlando, including the University of Central Florida, shopping and dining destinations and the Walt Disney World Resort just down the road in Lake Buena Vista.

Must-see attractions in Disney/Orlando

Walt Disney World Resort: There are four major theme parks, two water parks and a shopping, dining and entertainment district that comprise the resort. Of course, families and individuals alike enjoy the tradition of visiting Disney World, where they can see Cinderella’s castle, ride the traditional amusement park rides like the spinning teacups and walk down Main Street before taking in the nightly parade and show.

Universal Studios: People who want to take on the action-packed thrills of the resort can head to Universal Studios Florida to find rides based on their favorite movies such as Transformers: The Ride 3-D, The Incredible Hulk Coaster and The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. Harry Potter fans will enjoy a replica of the magical world that caught their attention at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Islands of Adventure. Universal Studios also boasts a nightclub and restaurant district, so adults can enjoy the pleasure of being surrounded by their favorite theme rides while dining and raising a glass with friends and family.

LEGOLAND Florida: What kid doesn't love LEGOS? At LEGOLAND Florida, your children and kids at heart can enjoy traversing a park that is solely dedicated to one of the world's favorite toys.

Water attractions: Guests can get a little wet and wild at SeaWorld, Discovery Cove and Aquatica. SeaWorld will give you the greatest show you’ve ever seen of your favorite marine animals, including dolphins and killer whales. If you make a trip to Discovery Cove, you’ll get the chance to jump in the water and go swimming with the dolphins.

Orlando Golf Courses: A trip to Florida wouldn’t be complete without spending a day on the green. There are several courses in Orlando to choose from, many of which offer specials, such as unlimited golf to visitors who stop by for a round. Two of the best courses in the city include Grand Cypress Golf Club’s North and Southeast. Since the weather in Orlando is perfect year-round, you’ll always want to make sure you have a pair of golfing shoes with you.

Orlando Spas: There’s more to Orlando than theme parks. There are also several spas where you’ll find relaxation and rejuvenation. Not only are there spa menus for the adults, but even the kids can get a massage or spa treatment to help them relax on their getaway.

Shopping and Dining in Disney and Orlando

Dining at Walt Disney World Resort: If you’re in the Disney Resort, you aren’t cut off from the shopping and dining world. If you want to celebrate Oktoberfest no matter what time of the year it is, Biergarten is the place for you. The beer flows freely and joyous memories are made as you drink like a German and spend time at the happiest place on Earth. In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can enjoy a dining experience similar to what you would have had growing up with the baby boomers at the 50s Prime Time Cafe. Foods of all varieties can be found at The Epcot Center, including Scandinavian, Eclectic, American and Seafood.

Outlet Malls: Travelers will be no strangers to bargains at the outlet and factory shopping centers in Orlando. There’s the Orlando Premium Outlets on International Drive and Vineland Avenue as well as the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores. Lake Buena Vista features stores like Carters, Eddie Bauer, Fossil, Tommy Hilfiger and Old Navy, where you can save as much as 75 percent off retail prices. The Premium Outlets on International Drive feature more than 200 premium shops such as Sperry, J. Crew, Kate Spade, Polo and Neiman Marcus. Premium Outlets on Vineland Avenue is a great stop for those staying near Disney or SeaWorld because of its 150 tenants like Coach, Lacoste and even Disney outlets.
