"My family stayed at this amazing vacation rental while in town for the opportunity to have our son play at ESPN Wide World of Sports. The communication from the owners of this rental was quick and they were so very HELPFUL when I had to ask them a few things!! I cannot stress enough how wonderful they were when communicating back and forth via email. My family traveled with husband, wife, mother, mother in law, and 2 teenage sons. The home was immaculately clean and spacious to fit my entire family! We enjoyed the private pool as well as the community pool while we stayed on our hot summer week. My children lived at the basketball court which was conveniently located near the home and the community pool. The home was equipped with everything we could need. My mother had never stayed at a vacation rental like this and she could not get over the fact that we were supplied with dishes and everything we had available! The community that this home is located in was safe and very family friendly. As I said before I was traveling with 6 people and the sleeping accommodations worked perfectly for our family, with room to spare for more!! My husband and I enjoyed the spacious master bedroom, but I especially enjoyed the large soaking tub after the long drive from NC! The location was so convenient to the Disney World Parks and the ESPN Wide World of Sports. I highly recommend this vacation home and I would gladly stay here again if I return to Florida!!! Thank you so much for making our family vacation enjoyable and allowing us to enjoy you beautiful vacation home!!!!"Guest: Sharon Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 25, 2014View listing
"We had a great time in this wonderful villa! The house is the same as shown in the pictures. It was very clean and had plenty of towels and bedding for our large party. The pool access security system was great since we had kids with us. This home is located very close to shopping, restaurants, Disney and other theme parks. The owner quickly responded to our questions and it was a simple rental process. We will definitely stay at this property when visiting Orlando again. Thanks so much!"Guest: Louis Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 5, 2014View listing
"We went to Kissimmee on vacation this Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful time. My family had originally booked a 5 bedroom, but due to conflict in simultaneous bookings were offered a free upgrade to a beautiful luxurious 6 bedroom and had an unforgettable family reunion with all the benefits and more. The resort rental was immaculate and very nicely kept. I and my family will definitely return to this resort rental or another with this company next year! definitely highly recommended for a great family get-away!!"Guest: Antoinette Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 16, 2014View listing
The Villages Travel Tips
The retirement community of The Villages is located in sunny, central Florida. It is 20 miles south of Ocala and 57 miles northwest of Orlando in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties. This development is home to more than 51,000 people and the fastest-growing micropolitan area in the U.S. as well as the fastest-growing small town.
The Villages' history dates back to the 1960s when Harold Schwartz, a Michigan businessman, sold land to retirees looking to escape to a warmer climate. Today, the descendants of Harold Schwartz and his son H. Gary Morse still control The Villages.
The Villages Attractions
The master-planned retirement community offers several forms of recreational activity. The Villages has numerous golf courses and offers "Free Golf for Life." Thirty-two of the courses are 9-hole layouts while the remaining 10 are country club championship courses. Two additional courses will be 27-hole layouts with a total of 621 holes of golf by the end of a final course build?-out.
Visit the Florida Carriage Museum and Resort and take a step back in time. This museum is home to the largest collection of antique horse-drawn carriages in the U.S. and is one of the largest in the world. There are more than 160 carriages from Europe and America, including the 1850 Ambruster Dress Chariot that once carried Emperor of Austria Franz Joseph and his wife, Elisabeth.
You can do plenty of shopping without leaving The Villages. There are boutiques scattered throughout the town squares, including many of the country's most popular brands. There are also grocery stores, pharmacies and superstores that will help you find everything you need. You can even venture throughout The Villages on your golf cart, the most fun way to travel through a small town.
