  • Impecable condition

"We certainly enjoyed our stay at the Hogwart's Home. We visited with our group of 14 including 2 families and 2 sets of grandparents and 6 children ages 9-18. The home was in impeccable condition and spacious enough for all of us. The kitchen was perfect to prepare our Thanksgiving meal while we enjoyed our appitizers pool side with the swimming pool and hot tub. The gated community was very nice as well. We enjoyed playing tennis and basketball during our stay. We no longer have babies in our group, but the house would be well equipped for one. There were pack and plays in the closets and other equipment and toys for young children. We enjoyed the pool table and the board games. Thank you for a wonderful stay! The Williams Family"

  • Spacious & beautiful home

"This home is extremely spacious, although with just 4 adults and a child we only utilized a very small part of the home. We enjoyed the large kitchen area and outdoor dining table after spending our days at the parks. The popular amusement parks are only 20-30 mins from the home which did not bother us at all. We definitely will be returning to this home- our only regret is not staying longer!"

  • Memories to last a life time. A fairytale come true.

"Our three children and three grand children stayed with us in this beautiful home for the week leading up to our son's wedding. The owners were very attentive and every detail was perfectly explained prior to our arrival. We rented double kayaks and enjoyed the lake to its fullest. The grand kids had a great time. The master bedroom is an oasis and my husband enjoyed the beautiful, relaxing library. It was perfect that everyone had their own bathroom and the bedrooms have good separation. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to prepare meals We hired Arthur's Catering to come to the home for our outdoor rehearsal dinner on the lawn. Our guests enjoyed jazz music and cocktails on the boat dock prior to our dinner. Many quests from Orlando said they had no idea this beautiful home was there! The dinner was breathtakingly beautiful. We would highly recommend Arthur's and this lovely home! We had cafe lights, beautiful floral arrangements, music, and the best atmosphere imaginable. Complete with a rainbow over the lake! NO KIDDING. There is no traffic and unless you live in the neighborhood you would not travel through that area. We were minutes to grocery shopping and restaurants. We are happy to give this home and owners the highest rating."

  • Fabulous place to stay in Orlando

"This was our first time at Vista Cay - we will definietely come back. Very comfortable with 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths - our family was able to enjoy our time there without being on top of each other. Having a full kitchem and Publix right there is key. also, the pool and game room were fantastic - so nice to be able to swim in February. Very convenient to park and Conv Center."

The Villages Travel Tips

The retirement community of The Villages is located in sunny, central Florida. It is 20 miles south of Ocala and 57 miles northwest of Orlando in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties. This development is home to more than 51,000 people and the fastest-growing micropolitan area in the U.S. as well as the fastest-growing small town.

The Villages' history dates back to the 1960s when Harold Schwartz, a Michigan businessman, sold land to retirees looking to escape to a warmer climate. Today, the descendants of Harold Schwartz and his son H. Gary Morse still control The Villages.

The Villages Attractions

The master-planned retirement community offers several forms of recreational activity. The Villages has numerous golf courses and offers "Free Golf for Life." Thirty-two of the courses are 9-hole layouts while the remaining 10 are country club championship courses. Two additional courses will be 27-hole layouts with a total of 621 holes of golf by the end of a final course build?-out.

Visit the Florida Carriage Museum and Resort and take a step back in time. This museum is home to the largest collection of antique horse-drawn carriages in the U.S. and is one of the largest in the world. There are more than 160 carriages from Europe and America, including the 1850 Ambruster Dress Chariot that once carried Emperor of Austria Franz Joseph and his wife, Elisabeth.

You can do plenty of shopping without leaving The Villages. There are boutiques scattered throughout the town squares, including many of the country's most popular brands. There are also grocery stores, pharmacies and superstores that will help you find everything you need. You can even venture throughout The Villages on your golf cart, the most fun way to travel through a small town.
