  • Golf Trip 2014

"We had an excellent time in this villa. It easily accommodated all of us with enough beds so that no-one had to share. The villa was easily accessible and local to a number of golf courses in and around orlando. The pool and hot tub were both spotlessly clean and were well used during our stay. I would definately recommend using TopVillas for any holiday accommodation. The guys were helpful, professional and courteous throught my dealings with them. THANKS GUYS!!"

  • Excellent Stay!

"The house was excellent. It is the third time we have stayed and it is the most comfortable place imaginable. The house is well maintained(it looked as if the exterior of the house was recently painted) and has all of the conveniences you would ever need for a vacation stay. The location can't be beat. Only 10 minutes to Disney world. The neighborhood is gated and very safe and I hope I can get back again soon!"

  • A resort away from a resort!!!

"My rental experience at this fabulous home was exceptional! This was a very last minute trip and Tammy was able to accommodate me with ease. She was wonderful to work with and was easy to contact. I could tell by the pride she took in booking her home that it was going to blown my expectations away and that it did! The moment I walked in the door I felt like I was at home. The layout of the home is very convenient and perfect for a family with children. The furniture is absolutely gorgeous and the decor makes it feel very home-like. The bed in the master bedroom feels like you are sleeping on a cloud and the beds in the other 3 rooms are also very comfortable. The Disney themed rooms are a great touch especially since the house is so close to Disney World! The location made commuting to locations easy as everything, and I mean everything, is very close to the house. Although there were many restaurants near by, we found ourselves ordering carry out and eating in the backyard which is a sanctuary of its own! The pool is absolutely gorgeous with mosaic tiles that seem brand new! The lighting as well as the furniture in the backyard make it feel like you are at a resort without all the bother of other people since the backyard is completely private! I would have been okay spending my entire time there in the backyard soaking up some rays and relaxing in/by the pool! This is a must see home because no words can describe the pride that has been put into this home to make it a dream rental!"

The Villages Travel Tips

The retirement community of The Villages is located in sunny, central Florida. It is 20 miles south of Ocala and 57 miles northwest of Orlando in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties. This development is home to more than 51,000 people and the fastest-growing micropolitan area in the U.S. as well as the fastest-growing small town.

The Villages' history dates back to the 1960s when Harold Schwartz, a Michigan businessman, sold land to retirees looking to escape to a warmer climate. Today, the descendants of Harold Schwartz and his son H. Gary Morse still control The Villages.

The Villages Attractions

The master-planned retirement community offers several forms of recreational activity. The Villages has numerous golf courses and offers "Free Golf for Life." Thirty-two of the courses are 9-hole layouts while the remaining 10 are country club championship courses. Two additional courses will be 27-hole layouts with a total of 621 holes of golf by the end of a final course build?-out.

Visit the Florida Carriage Museum and Resort and take a step back in time. This museum is home to the largest collection of antique horse-drawn carriages in the U.S. and is one of the largest in the world. There are more than 160 carriages from Europe and America, including the 1850 Ambruster Dress Chariot that once carried Emperor of Austria Franz Joseph and his wife, Elisabeth.

You can do plenty of shopping without leaving The Villages. There are boutiques scattered throughout the town squares, including many of the country's most popular brands. There are also grocery stores, pharmacies and superstores that will help you find everything you need. You can even venture throughout The Villages on your golf cart, the most fun way to travel through a small town.
