  • Wonderful condo vacation!

"We spent a week at Richie's condo. From the moment we booked our stay to the prompt return of our security deposit, it was an absolute pleasure interacting with Richie. The condo was beautiful. The location fantastic- what a beautiful view of the pool!! My daughter loved having breakfast on the balcony overlooking the pool each morning. The condo was spacious, extremely well-stocked, and felt like home. It's close proximity to Disney was extremely convenient. We can't say enough good things about Richie and the condo!! We would definitely stay again!!"

  • Awesome place

"Our vacation at this manor was awesome. The owners were great people to deal with and answered all our questions and made us feel very welcomed in their manor. The management company was very courteous and professional. Loved the heated pool and the play room. The house was very clean with all the amenities. Would definitely go back there."

  • Beautiful Home for our visit to Winter Park!

"Our family of five recently came to the Winter Park area for a wedding and made the very fortunate choice to rent this exquisite and tranquil home just a short walk away from the nearby Lake Virginia and Rollins College. Loved every minute of it and would highly recommend this comfortable and welcoming home in this quiet neighborhood. The house had plenty of room for all of us, an eye catching garden in the backyard and a meditative front porch--enclosed-with a bench swing to catch a view of the nearby lake. The hosts went overboard our first night there when we arrived a bit late at night and they drove us into town to help us find our way around for a late night dinner! The home interior reflects the artistic and literary oriented nature of the kind owners with captivating art and pottery pieces. Kitchen is very well supplied with everything needed for a big group and the AC, etc. is top notch. Hope to go back and would highly recommend to anyone wishing to stay in the Winter Park/ Orlando area!"

The Villages Travel Tips

The retirement community of The Villages is located in sunny, central Florida. It is 20 miles south of Ocala and 57 miles northwest of Orlando in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties. This development is home to more than 51,000 people and the fastest-growing micropolitan area in the U.S. as well as the fastest-growing small town.

The Villages' history dates back to the 1960s when Harold Schwartz, a Michigan businessman, sold land to retirees looking to escape to a warmer climate. Today, the descendants of Harold Schwartz and his son H. Gary Morse still control The Villages.

The Villages Attractions

The master-planned retirement community offers several forms of recreational activity. The Villages has numerous golf courses and offers "Free Golf for Life." Thirty-two of the courses are 9-hole layouts while the remaining 10 are country club championship courses. Two additional courses will be 27-hole layouts with a total of 621 holes of golf by the end of a final course build?-out.

Visit the Florida Carriage Museum and Resort and take a step back in time. This museum is home to the largest collection of antique horse-drawn carriages in the U.S. and is one of the largest in the world. There are more than 160 carriages from Europe and America, including the 1850 Ambruster Dress Chariot that once carried Emperor of Austria Franz Joseph and his wife, Elisabeth.

You can do plenty of shopping without leaving The Villages. There are boutiques scattered throughout the town squares, including many of the country's most popular brands. There are also grocery stores, pharmacies and superstores that will help you find everything you need. You can even venture throughout The Villages on your golf cart, the most fun way to travel through a small town.
