"This house is very clean and well stocked with anything that you might need and then some. The instructions to get into the community and the house are clear and easy to follow. After a long trip it was nice to have everything work out. Not only was the house very clean, but the pool looked (and felt) great too. This house is not too far from the parks, but far enough that you do feel like you are leaving the "busyness" behind. My 6 year old son kept asking "when can we go back to the rental?" because he loved it so much. Sometimes in the early morning you can even watch hot air balloons going by. Overall it was a great place to stay!"Guest: Beth Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 6, 2014View listing
"Our family spent the week after Christmas at Siesta Key and we loved it! My mother-in-law treated her 3 children, their spouses and children (ages 2-14) to this vacation. There were 16 of us and there was plenty of room for us all to spread out. The kids loved the movie rm and the game rm. The bedrooms were great...so nice to have so many master suites. The week after Christmas was crazy busy at the Disney parks, but this home was so close that it was convenient to go to the parks in the morning, come back to the house for lunch and to let the kids swim when the crowds became unbearable, and return in the evening. Pool was perfect and like bath water. We called the management company when we first arrived because it seemed there weren't very many bath towels...the next day they brought a whole stack of brand new bath towels--fantastic service! Publix and Super Target close by. Bahama Breeze (restaurant nearby)was great--really good food, fantastic wait staff. We had a great time at Siesta Key, lots of great family memories!!"Guest: Beth Y. "Mu husband and I just returned from a three day stay at this gorgeous lake front home. From the moment we walked in we knew this was going to be a very wonderful getaway. Although the home has many rooms we found it to be very cozy. The home has anything you will need for the perfect vacation. The kitchen is well stocked with many pots, pans and lots of extras!! It was nice having the outside grills to cook on. There is a large back patio that has many tables. The outside fire pit is nice to sit and enjoy in the evening. We stayed in the master bedroom downstairs. The king size bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. All rooms are beautifully decorated We spent most of our time outside where the view will take you away!! The bed swing on the porch is the perfect place for a afternoon nap. The boat hook up on the covered dock was nice to have since it rained one day. We fished mainly in Tiger Lake however, there are canals that will take you to other surrounding lakes. The fishing was great during our stay. Peggy, the owner, was very kind and great to work with. We are already planning our next visit to this hidden paradise!!!"Guest: Tricia Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 7, 2014View listing

The Villages Travel Tips
The retirement community of The Villages is located in sunny, central Florida. It is 20 miles south of Ocala and 57 miles northwest of Orlando in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties. This development is home to more than 51,000 people and the fastest-growing micropolitan area in the U.S. as well as the fastest-growing small town.
The Villages' history dates back to the 1960s when Harold Schwartz, a Michigan businessman, sold land to retirees looking to escape to a warmer climate. Today, the descendants of Harold Schwartz and his son H. Gary Morse still control The Villages.
The Villages Attractions
The master-planned retirement community offers several forms of recreational activity. The Villages has numerous golf courses and offers "Free Golf for Life." Thirty-two of the courses are 9-hole layouts while the remaining 10 are country club championship courses. Two additional courses will be 27-hole layouts with a total of 621 holes of golf by the end of a final course build?-out.
Visit the Florida Carriage Museum and Resort and take a step back in time. This museum is home to the largest collection of antique horse-drawn carriages in the U.S. and is one of the largest in the world. There are more than 160 carriages from Europe and America, including the 1850 Ambruster Dress Chariot that once carried Emperor of Austria Franz Joseph and his wife, Elisabeth.
You can do plenty of shopping without leaving The Villages. There are boutiques scattered throughout the town squares, including many of the country's most popular brands. There are also grocery stores, pharmacies and superstores that will help you find everything you need. You can even venture throughout The Villages on your golf cart, the most fun way to travel through a small town.
