  • The perfect Thanksgiving getaway for our family!

"Thank you so much for an amazing stay!! My family was so impressed with your villa! We had three little babies 3 and under and the strollers, high chair and toys made everything so convenient. The hot tub and pool were more than perfect. My teenage brother was in heaven with the PS3 and my parents were so comfortable in their master bedroom. The extra bathroom in my brother and sister-in-law's room was so nice and allowed them the extra privacy they needed. The kitchen had everything my mom could ask for and the living area was so perfect with the three sofas allowing us all to enjoy family time at the end of a long day at the parks. Our Thanksgiving dinner was quaintly set at your dining table and everything was so amazing! We appreciate all the details and thoughtfulness that went into ensuring that our accommodations were all that we needed and more from the ping pong table to the collapsible child sleepers. We used and appreciated it all! Thank you for making our vacation memorable and enjoyable"

  • Perfect location

"Our family ( 6 adults , two children ) enjoyed five nights at Bill and Angie's Reunion home, and it could not have gone better. The house is well equipped and has plenty of space for sleeping and daytime use. Access to the parks is fast and simple ,and local shops are within 5 minutes drive . We have stayed in several VRBO houses in Florida over the years before buying our own place in Naples - this is the best ."

  • #Holidayofalifetime

"We have been planning this holiday for 18 months and have been very excited to finally stay in this amazing Villa. On arrival lights were turned on ready. Directions from owners easy to follow and no problems finding our way from the airport. We were two families 6 in total and found the space more than enough for us all. Only had a small problem with the spa pump but this was sorted on the first day whilst we were out and was fixed by the time we got back! I would and already have recommended this villa to family and friends. Perfect location for the parks and for eating out in the evenings. Kids loved the swimming pool and games room whilst the adults enjoyed chilling in the spa! Also came home with no dirty washing (apart from travel clothes) as was able to wash and dry clothes with ease! Can not wait to return and am silently convinicing (little hints often) my husband that we need to return sooner rather than later (he will think its his great idea then) lol!!!"

  • Wonderful!

"This was the first time I rented the house, but I am sure it was much better than staying in a hotel. Our stay at the rental house was perfect! The owner helped us a lot (he is very nice), and provided all the information we needed by email, before the trip. The manager helped when we asked. The house was very clean and organized, actually it is much better than in the pictures. There was a lot of space and also a very complete kitchen. Calabay Parc is a peacful and quite place. We were in 4 families in the house, and everbody was very satisfied. It was a fantastic time for us! I strongly recommend the house for anyone who wants to stay in a nice place with family and friends."

The Villages Travel Tips

The retirement community of The Villages is located in sunny, central Florida. It is 20 miles south of Ocala and 57 miles northwest of Orlando in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties. This development is home to more than 51,000 people and the fastest-growing micropolitan area in the U.S. as well as the fastest-growing small town.

The Villages' history dates back to the 1960s when Harold Schwartz, a Michigan businessman, sold land to retirees looking to escape to a warmer climate. Today, the descendants of Harold Schwartz and his son H. Gary Morse still control The Villages.

The Villages Attractions

The master-planned retirement community offers several forms of recreational activity. The Villages has numerous golf courses and offers "Free Golf for Life." Thirty-two of the courses are 9-hole layouts while the remaining 10 are country club championship courses. Two additional courses will be 27-hole layouts with a total of 621 holes of golf by the end of a final course build?-out.

Visit the Florida Carriage Museum and Resort and take a step back in time. This museum is home to the largest collection of antique horse-drawn carriages in the U.S. and is one of the largest in the world. There are more than 160 carriages from Europe and America, including the 1850 Ambruster Dress Chariot that once carried Emperor of Austria Franz Joseph and his wife, Elisabeth.

You can do plenty of shopping without leaving The Villages. There are boutiques scattered throughout the town squares, including many of the country's most popular brands. There are also grocery stores, pharmacies and superstores that will help you find everything you need. You can even venture throughout The Villages on your golf cart, the most fun way to travel through a small town.

Regional centers feature courts and fitness facilities. Those who have dogs can take their furry friends for outdoor activities at any of the 11 parks, dog parks and trails owned by The Villages.

- Entertainment: There are three town squares in The Villages, including Lake Sumter Landing's Market Square, Spanish Springs Town Square and Brownwood Paddock Square. These town squares feature nightly activities such as live music and a farmer's market.
