  • Great Place!

"We really enjoyed this unit. It worked great for our family of 6 adults. Lots of space, and all the amenities you need to spend a couple of weeks away. The beds were really comfortable, although the twins/singles are designed more for kids, not so good for adults. It was so close to the pool, which we really enjoyed and it was great that it was open til 11:00 so we could get in a quick swim in the lazy river after the parks. Easy access to the highway to get to the parks, shopping and other fun things to do. Having our own washer and dryer was fantastic. Had a problem with the safe in the unit and they replaced it with another one but they didn't screw it down, so it was not usable, instead we used the lockers in the parks everyday. The one issue, to no fault of the owner is the Sand Mine Road that runs right behind the unit, the dump trucks and cement mixer trucks started about 3:30 in the morning and ran constantly. If you are staying in the Master upstairs make sure to bring some earplugs. I would stay here again and would recommend to my family and friends."

  • Best Ever Condo

"We enjoyed our stay in Orlando, but the best part was the accommodations. The condo was exceptionally clean and with so many amenities to help get us started was really appreciated (soap, Kleenex, toilet paper, detergents etc.). This condo is very close to many attractions and the traffic flows very well in this area. The whole community here is very helpful and greet you with many pleasantries. The children loved the Waterpark, but the pool was their highlight (the condo even provides your towels), how great is that? The ambiance is very pleasant and you have a good feeling when you open the door. The owners take good care of their property and want you to enjoy your stay, which we did immensely, if we could give six stars there would be one for this home away from home. Thank you, Stacy, for all your kindness to us."

  • Perfect for our family of six!

"The home was perfect for our family. The home is very spacious and nicely furnished. When we arrived the home was very neat and clean. We have a family of six and the home worked great for us. It's close and easy to get to Disney. Plenty of shopping near by. Plenty of cookware to cook meals (saved us a bundle versus eating out!!). The community is safe and peaceful. The owners gave us lots of tips and were wonderful to work with, very responsive. The recreational facility including the pool was great! We loved it!!! I highly recommend this house."

  • Enjoyable & Relaxing Home

"Home was exactly as described. We enjoyed having the preserve in the backyard and saw the turtles and many birds. Friends joined us and the house worked perfectly since we each had our private space. The golf cart provided took us on many fun explorations. There is great bicycling in the area also and places to walk your dog (we had our small Yorkie with us). The owners were great to work with and promptly answered our email questions. I gave this property 4 stars as it could use a little TLC but considering it is a rental, it was fine. We would vacation in this area again."

The Villages Travel Tips

The retirement community of The Villages is located in sunny, central Florida. It is 20 miles south of Ocala and 57 miles northwest of Orlando in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties. This development is home to more than 51,000 people and the fastest-growing micropolitan area in the U.S. as well as the fastest-growing small town.

The Villages' history dates back to the 1960s when Harold Schwartz, a Michigan businessman, sold land to retirees looking to escape to a warmer climate. Today, the descendants of Harold Schwartz and his son H. Gary Morse still control The Villages.

The Villages Attractions

The master-planned retirement community offers several forms of recreational activity. The Villages has numerous golf courses and offers "Free Golf for Life." Thirty-two of the courses are 9-hole layouts while the remaining 10 are country club championship courses. Two additional courses will be 27-hole layouts with a total of 621 holes of golf by the end of a final course build?-out.

Visit the Florida Carriage Museum and Resort and take a step back in time. This museum is home to the largest collection of antique horse-drawn carriages in the U.S. and is one of the largest in the world. There are more than 160 carriages from Europe and America, including the 1850 Ambruster Dress Chariot that once carried Emperor of Austria Franz Joseph and his wife, Elisabeth.

You can do plenty of shopping without leaving The Villages. There are boutiques scattered throughout the town squares, including many of the country's most popular brands. There are also grocery stores, pharmacies and superstores that will help you find everything you need. You can even venture throughout The Villages on your golf cart, the most fun way to travel through a small town.
