  • Wonderful location and price!

"We were in Orlando for the Wine and Dine half marathon and stayed at this location and could not have chosen any better; so nice for everyone to stay together and the value was excellent. The description of the condo was spot on and was perfect for 5 adults. We were so close to the parks and got there were no problems at all. Only a hop, skip and jump to the outlet mall and nearby pub for dinner. I would highly recommend staying here and am looking forward to my next visit already! I would love to keep this condo my little secret but not possible; just hope it is available when I need it. Thanks for letting this be our home away from home for a few days!"

  • Great property

"This is a great place to vacation! The layout of the house is completely functional for entertaining. There are two living areas, a dining room and breakfast area. Spacious bedrooms and plenty of space. The pool area is great for relaxing and the heated pool is great for those cool FL nights. Both bathrooms open to the pool area which makes it easy to avoid a mess when coming into the house from the swimming. I highly recommend this property and will definitely stay here again."

  • B.D. & family from Mn.

"My husband & I decided to take our 4 daughters, 6 grandkids & 2boyfriends on a Fl. Vacation for our 30 th wedding anniversary. Two of my sisters came with two young nephews and a niece. We had plenty of room to sleep and eat meals together. The hot tub and swimming pool worked great!! The kids were in as soon as an adult was outside to watch them. Loved the location! We did Sea World and Busch Gardens for parks and Clearwater beach. We stayed at the house a couple days to use it to it's potential. Very comfortable."

  • Great owner and wonderful stay

"We spend 2 wks here, with our children and Grandchildren. I can't say enough about the owner, he was the Best owner I have ever dealt with and we have rented several homes in the past. He was patient with all my questions before and while we were there. We had a few minor issues, which were addressed, intermediately. The house was very clean up-on arrival and felt very welcoming. It just as described, perhaps even better, there was new furniture in the L.R. that was very comfortable. Would definitely consider renting this house in the future. Thanks once again."

The Villages Travel Tips

The retirement community of The Villages is located in sunny, central Florida. It is 20 miles south of Ocala and 57 miles northwest of Orlando in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties. This development is home to more than 51,000 people and the fastest-growing micropolitan area in the U.S. as well as the fastest-growing small town.

The Villages' history dates back to the 1960s when Harold Schwartz, a Michigan businessman, sold land to retirees looking to escape to a warmer climate. Today, the descendants of Harold Schwartz and his son H. Gary Morse still control The Villages.

The Villages Attractions

The master-planned retirement community offers several forms of recreational activity. The Villages has numerous golf courses and offers "Free Golf for Life." Thirty-two of the courses are 9-hole layouts while the remaining 10 are country club championship courses. Two additional courses will be 27-hole layouts with a total of 621 holes of golf by the end of a final course build?-out.

Visit the Florida Carriage Museum and Resort and take a step back in time. This museum is home to the largest collection of antique horse-drawn carriages in the U.S. and is one of the largest in the world. There are more than 160 carriages from Europe and America, including the 1850 Ambruster Dress Chariot that once carried Emperor of Austria Franz Joseph and his wife, Elisabeth.

You can do plenty of shopping without leaving The Villages. There are boutiques scattered throughout the town squares, including many of the country's most popular brands. There are also grocery stores, pharmacies and superstores that will help you find everything you need. You can even venture throughout The Villages on your golf cart, the most fun way to travel through a small town.
