"First of all, I would like to say thank you to the owner, she was a very nice person when I spoke with her at the first time to make a reservation and she was very helpful to reserve the days that I wanted without issues. It is a couple thing that you need to know about your property, whoever it's responsible to do maintenance in your house is not doing well, the kitchen was dirty and sticky over the counter, also around the stove had waste food and the stove missing one of the burn. We found cockroaches in the kitchen and the master bedroom, also no smoke detector in that room. The garage was disrupted, stains, and dirty. I had to call the manager of the house the next day of arrival to report a couple deficiencies; dirty pool, dirty and sticky kitchen and no safety light in the pool, also smoke detector was making noise all night the day before for low batteries. She sent somebody the next day to fix the smoke detector and the light in the pool, but the light only work for one day, also she told me that the person in charge to clean the pool he comes every 8 days, but to me that is not true because it was really dirty and this is area cover by screens. Plus we have to clean the patio table because had waste food, bugs and dirt. This property is so comfortable and quite, near to everything, has all you can need for your vacation and the owner been so nice. If I bring this comment is not as a negative comment, I just want this owner to keep eyes on those who are taking care the house when you are gone. I'm pretty sure as an owner if you fix these little issues you will not have comments like this ever again. I want to emphasis the location in this property needs to be corrective because is not Altamonte Spring, it is located in Davenport Fl. The manager needs to improve her management skills and well take care of this property for future references. Thank you owner and sorry for the inconvenience may cause to you but this is your property and your business."Guest: Ricardo O. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 11, 2014View listing
"Dear Richard, Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. We have stayed in many places in Florida over the last 10 years but your villa is the best by far. We will certainly be looking to book this every year! Whilst the pictures are great, the simply can't do your place justice. The location was perfect- 20 minutes form everything we need to do. The house had every amenity we could hope for and more, the outside pool area was so nice that we spent most of our days out there! The place is perfect for kids and the golf courses in close proximity were amazing. Your contact throughout our stay has been so thorough so we look forward to speaking you soon booking our stay for next year! It's great to have a place now we can trust excels all our expectations. "Lovely condo - well appointed and in a very good area. Near the theme parks but far enough away not to get all the traffic. The swimming pool was an excellent facility as was the hot tub. Our group was very happy there."Guest: Bob Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: November 4, 2014View listing

The Villages Travel Tips
The retirement community of The Villages is located in sunny, central Florida. It is 20 miles south of Ocala and 57 miles northwest of Orlando in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties. This development is home to more than 51,000 people and the fastest-growing micropolitan area in the U.S. as well as the fastest-growing small town.
The Villages' history dates back to the 1960s when Harold Schwartz, a Michigan businessman, sold land to retirees looking to escape to a warmer climate. Today, the descendants of Harold Schwartz and his son H. Gary Morse still control The Villages.
The Villages Attractions
The master-planned retirement community offers several forms of recreational activity. The Villages has numerous golf courses and offers "Free Golf for Life." Thirty-two of the courses are 9-hole layouts while the remaining 10 are country club championship courses. Two additional courses will be 27-hole layouts with a total of 621 holes of golf by the end of a final course build?-out.
Visit the Florida Carriage Museum and Resort and take a step back in time. This museum is home to the largest collection of antique horse-drawn carriages in the U.S. and is one of the largest in the world. There are more than 160 carriages from Europe and America, including the 1850 Ambruster Dress Chariot that once carried Emperor of Austria Franz Joseph and his wife, Elisabeth.
You can do plenty of shopping without leaving The Villages. There are boutiques scattered throughout the town squares, including many of the country's most popular brands. There are also grocery stores, pharmacies and superstores that will help you find everything you need. You can even venture throughout The Villages on your golf cart, the most fun way to travel through a small town.
