  • We had a wonderful three month stay!

"We had had two nice stays in condo homes at Windsor Hills before we found this home. Last year, it wasn´t about vacation, we needed a home to live for three months while we were attending Valencia College. We talked to many owners and Adrian had the best price for our long stay. The home is great, we had so much fun in the community and in the house. The pictures, the way I see, don´t show how cozy and well decorated this home is. All the appliances work well. Once we had a problem with the air conditioning due to heavy winds in the roof, and the manager showed up 15 minutes after our call and fixed it in the same day. I told Adrian we wish the home had bidets, those little showers to be used at toilet seats. Adrian himself is a very, very nice person. We became friends. He is easy to deal with, he trully concerns if we are doing fine, if we are confortable. He is always willing to help a lot. The location couldn´t be better if you are a disney fan. We had annual passes for all the parks, so we would go to hollywood studios to see a parade and be back in 10 minutes or 15 at the most. Also, Irlo Bronson has all you need: target, publix, olive garden, cracker barrel, applebees, red lobster, wallgreens, long horn, texas and so many other restaurants in a 5 minute drive. Before we rented two cars I took the kids to Thyphoon lagoon by cab and I was charged around 23 dollars each way. We treasure the memories we have from Adrian´s house and we hope to be back anytime soon! Thank you, Adrian, for helping us make a dream come true!"

  • Met and exceeded all of our expectations.

"After a long day travelling across the country we were delighted with the comfortable accommodations that greeted us. Everything we needed was available. Our family of six had plenty of room to relax. Family meals around the large dining room table were great after a long day at the theme parks. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the barbecue. Our only regret is that we did not have more time to enjoy the residence."

The Villages Travel Tips

The retirement community of The Villages is located in sunny, central Florida. It is 20 miles south of Ocala and 57 miles northwest of Orlando in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties. This development is home to more than 51,000 people and the fastest-growing micropolitan area in the U.S. as well as the fastest-growing small town.

The Villages' history dates back to the 1960s when Harold Schwartz, a Michigan businessman, sold land to retirees looking to escape to a warmer climate. Today, the descendants of Harold Schwartz and his son H. Gary Morse still control The Villages.

The Villages Attractions

The master-planned retirement community offers several forms of recreational activity. The Villages has numerous golf courses and offers "Free Golf for Life." Thirty-two of the courses are 9-hole layouts while the remaining 10 are country club championship courses. Two additional courses will be 27-hole layouts with a total of 621 holes of golf by the end of a final course build?-out.

Visit the Florida Carriage Museum and Resort and take a step back in time. This museum is home to the largest collection of antique horse-drawn carriages in the U.S. and is one of the largest in the world. There are more than 160 carriages from Europe and America, including the 1850 Ambruster Dress Chariot that once carried Emperor of Austria Franz Joseph and his wife, Elisabeth.

You can do plenty of shopping without leaving The Villages. There are boutiques scattered throughout the town squares, including many of the country's most popular brands. There are also grocery stores, pharmacies and superstores that will help you find everything you need. You can even venture throughout The Villages on your golf cart, the most fun way to travel through a small town.
