  • Great Pool Home!

"Our family really enjoyed our stay in this pool home. The house was perfect with lots of space to spread out. The entire home was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The kids enjoyed the game room, as well. The pool area was nice, too. We felt safe in this home and community. We would return to this home again."

  • Probably the best place to rent in the Villages!

"Like staying at a relatives home. Equipped with everything we needed and more than we expected. Fully and very tastefully furnished with up to date appliances and comfortable beds and furniture. Needless to say everything was immaculate and working perfectly. The owner, Sean was very friendly and helpful, he offered to be a resource for The Villages and surrounding areas and helped us with restaurants and understanding The Villages lifestyle. Having the golf cart was a big plus. You will feel lucky if you can rent here!"

  • Great Place to stay!

"We just returned from an 8 night stay at this townhome and wanted to post a review. We are a family of four, with two teenagers. They loved each having their own room and this was a more reasonable option than two hotel rooms. This unit is exceptionally quiet- I never heard anything, and I am a light sleeper. The townhome looks just like the pictures. The unit was clean and the location can't be beat. It was a 10 minute drive from door to parking lot for the Disney parks, especially Animal Kingdom, which made it easy to take a break in the middle of the afternoon. There are lots of stores and restaurants (Outback, Taco Bell, CiCi Pizza) a short drive from the Emerald Isle resort area. Universal was about a 20-25 minute drive. The unit was about a block from a very quiet pool, and if you wanted music and a tiki bar, you could drive up to the main Emerald Isle pool, a three minute drive. The lounge chairs were quite comfortable, and we spent two days lounging at the pool. We visited Walmart our first night and enjoyed being able to have breakfast in the condo and take drinks and snacks with us to the parks. The kitchen was big enough and had pots and pans that I could have made dinner, but hey, we were on vacation. We remembered to bring our own shampoo, soaps, etc, but forgot garbage bags, and so we thought we would just double bag the Wal-mart bags and put our trash out in that. We received a letter from the trash guys that the trash must be in 30 gal trash bags, and NOT in WalMart bags, so just a heads up. While we didn't need it, the unit had a high chair, stroller, and other items for a baby/toddler. I will hope that this townhome will be available in the future as I would definitely stay here again. Also, the owner was very helpful and easy to deal with."

The Villages Travel Tips

The retirement community of The Villages is located in sunny, central Florida. It is 20 miles south of Ocala and 57 miles northwest of Orlando in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties. This development is home to more than 51,000 people and the fastest-growing micropolitan area in the U.S. as well as the fastest-growing small town.

The Villages' history dates back to the 1960s when Harold Schwartz, a Michigan businessman, sold land to retirees looking to escape to a warmer climate. Today, the descendants of Harold Schwartz and his son H. Gary Morse still control The Villages.

The Villages Attractions

The master-planned retirement community offers several forms of recreational activity. The Villages has numerous golf courses and offers "Free Golf for Life." Thirty-two of the courses are 9-hole layouts while the remaining 10 are country club championship courses. Two additional courses will be 27-hole layouts with a total of 621 holes of golf by the end of a final course build?-out.

Visit the Florida Carriage Museum and Resort and take a step back in time. This museum is home to the largest collection of antique horse-drawn carriages in the U.S. and is one of the largest in the world. There are more than 160 carriages from Europe and America, including the 1850 Ambruster Dress Chariot that once carried Emperor of Austria Franz Joseph and his wife, Elisabeth.

You can do plenty of shopping without leaving The Villages. There are boutiques scattered throughout the town squares, including many of the country's most popular brands. There are also grocery stores, pharmacies and superstores that will help you find everything you need. You can even venture throughout The Villages on your golf cart, the most fun way to travel through a small town.
