"This is the condo to be in if you are traveling to Manasota Key. Beautiful décor, large, directly on gulf. Lanai is so comfortable as is the recliner in the living area. (That was #1 on husbands list.) I just can't say enough about how nice, easily accessible with the elevator, and easy access to the beach. LOVED IT and will stay here again the next time our travels take us to Manasota Key."

  • One of the BEST rentals we have ever booked!!!!

"Our recent stay at this property was so fun and relaxing we hated to leave. Owners, Fred and Shelly, were so gracious and accommodating to all of our needs. Their home offered everything one could wish for......Beautifully decorated, very clean inside and out, spacious rooms with a beautiful master bedroom and two decent size additional bedrooms, three full baths and a large half bath, a large kitchen fully stocked with plenty of seating. The outdoor area was outstanding, spacious, very private with the screened lanai, large grill, two lovely spacious seating areas with large umbrella's for those who want to avoid the sun, loungers, glider, heated pool, pool toys, bikes and canoe. Could not ask for more. Most outstanding was the stunning sunsets right from our own private backyard/pool area. In addition to this beautiful home was its proximity to restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, beaches.....all walking or biking distance away. And only a few miles by car is 5th Avenue South and 3rd Street South full of upscale shops, fantastic restaurants, and more beaches to enjoy the spectacular Florida sunsets. This lovely home easily accommodated us three couples that rented this property for the week and for part of that week our daughter joined us making it seven adults. Plenty Plenty of room. Thank you Fred and Shelly.....your graciousness is evident in this lovely rental home. We had such a memorable, relaxing, very enjoyable, fun vacation. We will be back."

  • Fantastic Beach House Rental

"My family has visited the Santa Rosa Beach area many times. When looking for a summer beach-home rental, cleanliness and close to the beach are high on our list of "wants". We were thrilled when we discovered the Crow's Nest. The home was everything we preferred in a rental. It was clean, nicely decorated and very well-stocked. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you could need. All of the bedrooms have nice beds. The master bedroom and bathroom are FABULOUS. I loved the location of the side-door and porch. There is an outdoor shower and great towel rack right there at the porch as well. We are always happy when rental homes supply beach chairs, umbrellas and beach toys such as boogie boards and floats. There are 4 beach chairs, but they were a bit shabby and the wooden arms are worn. We were thrilled that there was a wagon and beach cart available for our use. I really liked the convenience of the walk to the beach. There is a shower and bike rack at the top of the stairs. Also, we LOVED that the pool was right on the way to the house. There is a shower at the pool as well. We would stop and swim almost everyday on our way back from the beach! We really enjoyed the quietness of Cassine Village. The neighborhood is PERFECTLY located. 30-A is just a walk around the corner and the local shops and beach are just minutes away. My family prefers to ride bikes everywhere instead of driving, so receiving the discount at the bike rental was FANTASTIC! Riding a bike into Seaside takes about 5-7 minutes. On several occasions, we were out past dark so I recommend taking flashlights to carry in your bike baskets to help light the path. Honestly, I have no complaints about this home. I can't think of anything significant that I would change. We enjoyed EVERY minute we were there and were sad to leave. On several occasions I spoke with Mrs. King. She was always friendly and polite. The reservation and rental process was super easy. I HIGHLY recommend this home for your family. We will be back for sure! THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES!!!!!"

  • Heaven on earth!

"We so enjoyed the week we spent in the penthouse. The weather was nice, views were heavenly and off season was sooooo quiet and peaceful! Kelly made it so easy from the beginning of making a reservation to end of stay. So organized and a really streamlined process. First class accommodations, finishes and it looks just like the pictures! We loved eating at the Shrimpboat Restaurant, walking on the beach, shelling, coffee on the balcony and fabulous sunsets! We even saw Dolphins and Rays from the bacony on several occasions. We were looking for place to relax, to recharge our batteries, and wow this place delivered! Thank you, Kelly, for sharing your amazing place!"

Central/Disney/Orlando Area Travel Tips

Orlando is an idyllic vacation spot for both kids and those who are young at heart. As the mecca for all things Disney, there's a sense of magic here that is sure to bring out your inner child as you play and explore the city.

While images of theme parks galore may the the first thing that comes to mind, there's much more to this Florida city. While they are a big part of making Orlando a destination hotspot, there are also lovely tree-line neighborhoods to stroll through and plenty of history to learn about. Orlando also boasts a thriving performing arts scene so be sure to check out a live musical or theatrical performance during your stay. If the weather is nice, the city provides a variety of gardens and parks to enjoy where you can marvel at the beautiful flora and fauna as you dine on a picnic.

Many visitors head to Orlando between June and August, but it's great to visit year-round. If you live someplace that experiences all four seasons, trade in the dreary, cold days for ones filled with warmth and sunshine. It's lovely in the spring as well, when the flowers are in full bloom and the temperatures aren't climbing too high.

Orlando's Best Theme Parks

- Disney World: Orlando has become synonymous with Disney World - "the happiest place on earth." This is Walt Disney's flagship center of his worldwide theme park empire and the most popular on the globe. It's a magical place that all people no matter their age can enjoy as they experience the wonder, fantasy, excitement and fun of the park. Disney World itself is home to a variety of theme and water parks as well as shopping, entertainment, dining and more.

- Epcot: Travel all around the world without ever leaving Orlando at the Epcot Center. The World Showcase is reminiscent of a permanent world's fair containing 11 different countries including Mexico, China, Norway, Germany, Japan, Italy, America, Morocco, France, Canada and the United Kingdom. Epcot was the second park built at Disney World and spans 300 acres. Experience all sorts of unique cultures and heritages as you explore the park.

- Discovery Cove: If you've ever wanted to swim with dolphins, head to Discovery Cove, where you get the chance to interact with bottlenose dolphins swimming, doing tricks and playing. Afterward, grab some snorkeling equipment and check out the coral reef where you can see thousands of colorful tropical fish, then check out the stingrays and shark tank. The park also features a free-flight aviary with more than 250 tropical birds flying overhead that you can feed and interact with, such as parrots and toucans. The Grand Reef features a sandy white beach with palms lining an island where you'll find underwater grottos filled with moray eels, reef sharks and more tropical fish. Check out the Sea Venture, an underwater walk on the sea floor.

Things to Do in Orlando

- World of Orchids: If you have a green thumb or simply appreciate the beauty of nature, plan a trip to the World of Orchids. In an enclosed tropical rainforest you can see thousands of stunning blooms covering almost an acre. You'll feel as though you've been transported to the Amazon in this natural jungle-like setting featuring streams, waterfalls and even parrots. World of Orchids also boasts a 1,000 foot boardwalk by nearby wetlands.

- Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art: Art lovers and Tiffany enthusiasts will appreciate the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art. It's home to the largest collection from Louis Comfort Tiffany, including art glass, lamps, leaded-glass windows, pottery, jewelry, paintings and the chapel interior from the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. The museum also boasts a huge collection of American art, pottery and representative collections of late-nineteenth and early-twentieth century American graphics, decorative arts and paintings.

- The Orlando Museum of Art: Keeping with the art theme, make your way to the Orlando Museum of Art to see ongoing exhibitions and displays of American landscapes and portraits, ancient American works and American impressionist pieces. Throughout the year the museum presents 10 to 12 exhibitions and provides a variety of enrichment programs, gallery tours, lectures, classes and more.

- Mad Cow Theatre: Plan a fun night out at the Mad Cow Theatre, one of Orlando's professional theater companies presenting a variety of works for the stage, including contemporary plays and musicals. Performances like Sunday in the Park with George, Death of a Salesman, Hedda Gabler, Next to Normal, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Our Town, Cinderella and many more have graced the stage here. Enjoy a delicious meal at a local restaurant then head to the Mad Cow Theatre for a delightful evening filled with live entertainment.
