"This condo unit is the best in the building for families with young children!
The owners are family-friendly and delightful.
Convenience: any age could appreciate it, but our loveable littles need extra time to get ready, require more gear (diapers, etc.) and like (or need) to be carried a lot. Swimming, sand castles and seashell hunting are even more fun when they are right outside your back patio!
Safety: there’s a lockable sliding glass door to the back patio, and a tall latching gate between the patio and the pool. (If you want to secure it a bit more, put a carabiner clip from the condo keychain on the patio gate latch, but our kids – ages 5 and 2 – didn’t unlatch it on their own). The main gates to the enclosed pool area and the exit to the beach path are locked and only accessible with resident/guest keys.
Noise level: no problem here. The pool opens at 9am and closes at dusk. Even when other guests were enjoying the pool, we had no noise disturbances the whole time we were there.
Comfort level: well designed, comfortable beds, clean and tidy.
Beach Gear: Don’t worry about packing it – they’ve got it covered: a large beach umbrella, backpack beach chairs, towels, toys, sand shovels, skim board, body board, rolling cooler, pool noodles … seriously, there is a “magic” closet! We did the happy dance when we found it.
Washer/Dryer: One of the best features! Pack light and wash when you need it.
Kitchen: While well equipped for cooking or baking, we mainly used it to make quick, light meals.
Going Green: There is a long line of large bins on the condo property dedicated to recycling. Very eco-friendly.
Places to go: Our new favorite is the Brevard Zoo in Melbourne (about 30 minutes away). They have a water play area, so bring the swimsuits. Bring athletic shoes too, if you want to try the “treetop trek”. It’s a harness-safety fun course with tightropes, crabwalks, bridges, ziplines, etc. There are different levels and our 5-year-old loved the “chutes and ladders” course.
There are lots of great places listed nearby, but it’s not far to drive to Downtown Disney or the Disney and Universal theme parks in Orlando (about an hour). If you’re going to make multiple trips to Orlando, it’s worth it to get a SunPass (prepaid toll).
This is a keeper location that will bring fun family memories for years to come."
