"Ocean Delight was truly delightful in every way. The views from the house are a treat, and the walkway to the beach was very convenient. The beach was gorgeous."

  • Fantastic Beach and Great Rental if you Drive

"The overall experience was great, but there are drawbacks, especially for renters who must fly to get here. First and foremost, this is a beach rental property that is "pet friendly", and from that aspect, can't be beat. The beach is huge, almost private, and pristine in appearance. The house has plenty of space for everyone; four beautiful bedrooms, and a basement area made up as a makeshift bedroom. Great appliances in the kitchen, but no herbs or spices, only salt and pepper. There are plenty of sheets for the beds, and towels for the bathrooms and beach, but they are worn, and should be replaced. The laundry has excellent appliances and space. There are no beach chairs, and the deck chairs are in poor condition. There are a couple of boogie boards and some beach toys, probably left by previous renters. The dining and living room areas are great; lots of space, large dining table, enormous couch for relaxing, and fantastic entertainment center with large flat-screen TV and cable access. The house has WiFi, but it works marginally throughout the house, as it is located in the basement. The property is gated in the front for additional privacy, and adds to the safety for a pet one might let out at night to do its duty. There is plenty of parking, and room to move vehicles around, and a two car garage that is not cluttered, as many Florida garages are. I would recommend this rental for anyone able to drive there, and bring the things it lacks, but for those who must fly, I'm not sure it is worth the rental price."

  • Awesome for bikers!

"The location right next to the public beach access was great! Many beach goers, surfers, etc., to meet as well as entertain. Very nice beach too! Being able to park my truck and trailer in front of the garage, and park all our bikes inside the garage, saved us money (no fee to store the trailer), and allowed us great security for our bikes. It also keeps them from being exposed to the salt sprays coming off the ocean. Probably more of a "Man Cave" then something for girls only. Though I think most families with children would really love the beach. Would definitely rent again!"

  • Upper Deck

"A lot of times when looking at homes online, they appear better in pictures than in person. That was not the case this time! This house is absolutely beautiful. My husband and I had our wedding in St. Augustine this fall and rented the home for our entire wedding party to stay in. Everyone who stopped by the house said how beautiful it was. It definitely has the "wow" effect. The property was VERY clean and had numerous amenities. The rooms were a great size and the master suite was fabulous. The only complaint about this property that I have is the fact that on our wedding day someone called my husband and accused us of having a wedding at the house (which is not allowed). When booking the home I told the lady it was for the wedding party to stay in and that we were getting married downtown so wanted a place nearby. I understand that rules must be followed but a person does not want to worry about being evicted from a home that the entire wedding party is staying in on the day of the wedding. It did not help that the lady was rude to my husband, as if she didn't believe him when he told her we were getting married at The Treasury downtown. Eventually the manager called me and apologized stating he had someone drive by and that a wedding clearly was not going on, which I appreciated. My husband and I took advantage of the upper deck for our "first look" and photos with our immediate family. It was the perfect spot but I suppose this is where the confusion began. To end on a good note, I would recommend this house to anyone with a large group (just be sure to follow the rules). It is a large home but it does have an elevator making it very convenient for transporting luggage and groceries to the higher levels. It looks like a home straight out of a magazine and as I mentioned earlier, is conveniently located near downtown."
