  • Perfect Vaction Home for Introverts

"The week my family spent at Harmony House was great. We loved having our own stretch of beach and lots of privacy. The house is not in a typical conglomeration of rental properties - if you are looking for miniature golf, go carts, jet skis, para-sailing , quad bikes and the like, you should look elsewhere. This rental is for people who like nature and quite. The beach is lined with coquina rocks, so playing in the waves is a low-tide activity, especially for small children. The rocks themselves are quite interesting, with basins and holes like Swiss cheese through which the waves surge at high tide. The house is not fancy (consistent with it's bronze rating) and could use some maintenance, but was comfortable enough. Be advised that the “bonus room” has changed very little since it's previous life as a garage and offers easy in-out privileges for bugs, including stunningly large (but harmless) huntsman spiders. The best thing about this real estate is location, location, location. There are no near neighbors on either side and having an unobstructed view of undeveloped coastline from the breakfast table was wonderful. VacationRentalPros manages this property in a profession manor – maybe too much so. They responded promptly to all inquiries, but also made me sign a one-sided contract with a long list of offenses that would result in our immediate eviction or extra charges to my credit card. That said, they didn't hassle us in any way during our visit, and the notices posted inside the house were much less adversarial. When comparing rental property prices be sure to read the fine print – in addition to taxes, a high cleaning fee, and a non-refundable damage fee, there is an additional charge of 5.95% for unspecified “amenities.” On the whole we were very pleased with our stay at Harmony House. The quite surroundings and proximity to nature suited our family of introverts well."

  • Reiderman

"Reiderman family wedding. My husband & I were traveling with 8 family members to FL. for a family wedding. 5 of the party were elderly and the house being on 1 floor worked well for us. We had an enjoyable stay. The house was well stocked with linens & towels. The owner and overseer of the property were a pleasure to work with. The grill could use a good cleaning and some tiles on the screened front porch were loose and breaking up. The pool area was great, we spent alot of time there. All in all a great value for all you get. Would recommend as a great and comfortable place to stay."

"We had an AMAZING time!! The check in procedures were flawless and check out was a breeze. Plenty of things to do right in the resort. Plenty of places to go around and see. Beautiful views!! Jim was great to work with. He answered all of my questions (and I had a lot of them!!) He was very thorough in getting back to me and getting back to me promptly. Overall a great experience!!"

  • Summer Family Reunion at the Lodge

"Overall we were pleased with this rustic, comfortable lodge. Access to the beach is easy... either a short walk and then down a path through the rocks or at the peak of high tide walking in the sand behind two other residences to get to the beach. The Summer Haven River is gone but at high tide the tidal pools under and beyond the Route A1A bridge fill with water and we caught some flounder and crabs. This old building may not be for everyone but it fit our needs well. There were a couple of broken chairs and a screen door needed repair."
