"This rental was great!
Ponce Inlet location: On an Atlantic barrier island, about an hour from Orlando, St. Augustine or the Kennedy Space Center, depending on your choice of direction, so we took advantage of all that with a few day trips. Also, only about 10 minutes south of central Daytona, which made it easy to check out the bustling and very cool Biketoberfest there, then head back for a restful night's sleep in the quiet community of Ponce Inlet, where the house is.
The house: There were several things we liked, starting with the fact that the owners clearly use this as their own home sometimes, so it is clean and well maintained, not just some tired flop-house rental they are trying to squeeze every last penny from. It is a horseshoe shape around a nice in ground pool, with views of the pool from all three sides, so if you wanted to, you could watch the pool from indoors if you had older kids using it. The house has ample room, with good places to gather, as well as a couple of nice little sitting areas to read quietly or use a computer, away from the rest of your clan. We felt very much at home, as everything worked with no issues and the place is very easy to relax in. The Atlantic beach across the street is no more than a 30-second walk on a small wooden boardwalk to the sand - and let me tell you, the beach is awesome...wide, very few people, with nice soft bands of sand, as well as a broad firmer part where you can jog, ride the bikes, walk, etc. We were there in mid-October and the ocean water temperature was really perfect. Also, the house/beach are far away from all the high rises to the north and south, and the beach is very clean. The house has an attached garage which our large car could easily fit in, or you could put several motorcycles in there. There is also a circular driveway in front, where I suppose you could park vehicles.
The seemed responsive and pleasant and it was easy to do business with them.
The Big Problem:
Our vacation ended!"
