"This condo was perfect for us. There was plenty of room, having three bathrooms was wonderful. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Andrea was so pleasant to work with and made sure everything was in order. We saw plenty of dolphins every day from the balcony. The location of the condo was just right, we really didnt have to drive. I would highly recommed renting this condo and I am sure I will be back next year. "

  • Going to see Winter the dolphine

"Our time at the grand view cottage will be remembered for the rest of lives. Capt. Al and first mate ( k) were the best at showing and telling us the best places to go and see. We came to Clearwater beach to see winter the dolphin, but left with so much more. The beach cottages are like your home on the beach, not a beach house or condo but like home. There is really no need to drive after you arrive. The beaches at the cottages are not crowded. Like the condo`s. The cottages are a place to relax, be yourself at the beach. Don`t expect to be waited on hand and foot. It is not that type of place. Capt. Al goes well out of his way to insure that you have a wonderful time while you are there. You can cook in side, or out on the grill. You don`t want to miss out on the many great restaurants within blocks. You can walk or ride a bike or take one of the trollies. Oh not to forget you are at one of the most beautiful beaches that you have ever dreamed of. Oh the sunsets there are breath taking. Even the locals come out almost every evening to see the sunsets at Clearwater beach. Parking can be a challenge on weekends or after 3:00 pm, but at the cottages / there`s no need to drive. There are trollies / bikes and these ( carts ) that take you any where you want to go on the beach. If you want to drive to Tampa or along the beach south to sight see / do it in the morning. The traffic is almost none. I must say that the cottages of Clearwater beach are not the place to have a wild party. Yet a place to build a life time of memories. The grand view cottage and Capt. Al along with first mate miss ( K ) will forever remain in my and my 11 yr old son`s memories. THANK YOU GUYS . jAMES AND SON aNDREW"

  • Great Week At the Gulf!

"Six of us stayed in this lovely beach house. The house was fantastic, even though we spent most of our time on the beach which is a stone's throw away. The sunsets were fantastic, shelling was alright, rain stayed away during the days and just rained in the evenings. The house is perfect for 6 adults. Everything is there: beach chairs, floatables, tents, umbrellas, cooler, towels, beach toys...you name it...already there. This beach house exceeded my expectations. Also everything you need outside the house, is only about a half mile away in either direction (bars, restaurants, stores). Cannot say enough...wonderful experience!!!!"

  • Memorable vacation-Serenity says it all

"We felt at home upon entering the unit Beautiful spacious condo tastefully decorated, especially the artwork done by Carrie. Great views of the gulf and bay. Carrie called several times during our stay to make sure that all of our needs were met. Everything was provided, all you had to bring was your toothbrush! We've rented many vacation properties over the years but never had such personal involvement and attention to make sure that we had a great vacation experience. We ate at Crabby Bills, several times for the fresh oysters and delicious crab cakes, Jimmy Guanas for the great appetizers and live music and the historic Columbia Restaurant for the legendary Cuban food.. Looking forward to returning to Jack's and Carrie's Serenity on Sand Key. Diane and Dave Poland Ohio"

Clearwater Beach Travel Tips

If your perfect vacation includes digging your toes in the sand, perfecting your tan under the warm sun, swimming and playing in the ocean and watching stunning sunsets over the water, then it's time to book your next getaway to Clearwater Beach. This Florida hotspot is a favorite beach destination, and with good reason. Sandy beaches are idyllic spots to relax, but you're close enough to bigger cities like Tampa and St. Petersburg that you can enjoy that hustle and bustle as well.

While the shores are certainly a huge draw there, there's so much more to experience in Clearwater Beach. You're sure to appreciate the laid-back atmosphere here as you explore the fun, cultural attractions and sample the local flavors at the variety of awesome eateries. If you're not convinced, Clearwater Beach has been awarded a variety of achievements, including TripAdvisor's Travelers Choice Awards Best Beaches in 2011 and Washington Family Magazine Readers' Choice for Best Beaches for Families 2012.

The museum is home to all sorts of wildlife including river otters, bottlenose dolphins, sea turtles, stingrays, sharks and a whole host of colorful fish. Creatures with serious injuries become permanent residents here, and the most well-known is Winter, a bottlenose dolphin rescued in 2005 after her tail got caught in a crab trap. Her injuries were very extensive, so was given a prosthetic tail, and her story was turned into a movie titled "Dolphin Tale" in 2011. After a trip the the museum, your family can rent the movie and learn even more about Winter!
