  • This place is perfect!

"We had an excellent time and really enjoyed the condo and area around it. The owners take excellent care of the property and nothing was left out. Location is quiet, but close enough to everything in town to be convenient. Right between Kings Bay and the Gulf for easy access to either. We loved it!"

  • Peaceful waterfront retreat

"My husband and I just finished a week's stay at Peter's Dream Villa, joined by our 20-yr-old daughter. The house is right on a canal across from a nature reserve and just a short walk or paddle to King's Bay. My daughter was kayaking every day with one of the two provided kayaks -- just 10-15 minutes to Kings Springs, but she preferred a 45-minute kayak up to Hunter Springs where she could beach the kayak and then swim with the manatees using a wet suit we rented from a nearby outfitter. She saw 10 manatees, 1 dolphin, turtles, pelicans, lost of cranes. We also went to Homosassa Springs Wildlife Refuge just 15 minutes down the highway, and to the boardwalk at 3 Sisters Springs which is ground zero for manatee watching and just 5 minutes away. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and offers a nice walk with great views. So overall a perfect location on the Nature Coast. The house is spacious, well-equipped and comfortable. The screened in Florida room allows a view on the canal to watch the wildlife go by. It was too cold to use the pool but I could tell it would be a great assert in warmer weather. Kitchen has just about anything that you could want in terms of equipment and we appreciated the stock of some basic essentials (tea, flour, oil, sugar...). Publix Market just 10 minutes up the road had very good produce. We also ate out a number of times in the area, particularly enjoying Grannies for breakfast and Vintage on Fifth for our last night's special dinner (make sure to call for a reservation!). Their she-crab soup is to die for."

  • Crystal River

"Though the house was clean and neat and very well stocked, it really needs to be updated. The walls are dark paneling, making the entire inside dark. The low wattage light bulbs make it even more dark. A coat of a light color paint would improve the appearance a lot.The renter also needs to be aware that even though you are on the water, you may not be able to drive a boat in or out to Crystal River or the Gulf. The tides are not always cooperative. We ended up trailering our boat to the marina. And be sure you have lots of insect repellant. The noseeums in this area are vicious. My husband received 50 plus bites in one afternoon. Tides and bugs are no fault of the owner, of course, but something you need to be aware of. Overall, we enjoyed the area immensely and with a few updates, would consider this rental again."

  • Three months of hidden paradise

"My wife and I rented this great condo Jan thru March. I hesitate to tell people about this area of Florida because it is a hidden gem and I'd rather have it all to myself. The condo is decorated very upbeat, bright, Florida style. Very clean and no bugs inside the entire time. We had two small issues for repair upon our arrival and Keri had it taken care of immediately. Keri was also very helpful answering questions and giving recommendations. Appliances almost all new, 3TV's. Wifi worked good. Close to restaurants and grocery stores (walking distance) This was the first time being snow birds and I was hesitant at first to be at one place for three months and being bored, but no worries. There was so much to do and see in the area. Had fun fishing and crabbing. Saw 2 huge tarpon and lots of fish right off the dock. Manatees everywhere Jan and Feb. Fun festivals like manatee festival, strawberry festival, Greek festival, pirate festival etc. Lots of areas to explore. Tampa is about an hour and 15 minutes away., Orlando is approx 1.5 hrs away. Swimming pool has just been refurbished. Our kids and grandkids had a blast when they visited. One of the best things was meeting new friends in the condo. If you like to walk or bike, plenty of nice areas to do that. Only draw back I can think of was the no see em knats that came out about 30 minutes prior to sundown, but Off takes care of that."
