  • Great Vacation Villa

"We have a large family and this was very spacious well stocked, and maintained villa. The kids enjoyed the pool, our youngest son learned to swim in it (it is 3-5 ft. deep). The kids enjoyed fishing off the sea wall (they used hot dogs for bait and caught catfish in the evenings). The neighborhood is very quiet we enjoyed taking walks, the area is beautiful. We saw a dolphin in the canal one morning as we were sitting in the Florida room. The only complaint that we had was that my husband thought that the bed in the master bedroom was too firm. Something that surprised us, was that even though we paid through Home-Away our credit card company charged us a foreign transaction fee of over $40 because the owner has an account set up out of country. Knowing what we know now we would definitely stay at "Our Dream Villa" again. Things that we enjoyed in Crystal River were Three Sisters Springs, the Beach at the end of Fort Island Rd.. If you like Greek food go to "Olive Tree" (South of 44 W on HWY 19 about 2 miles away). We are looking forward to our next visit to Crystal River."

  • an amazing getaway

"There are five of us: Dad, mom and children ages 10, 12, 13. Dad and i enoyed the love shack as we called it and they had the other side of the house to themselves. The beds were comfortable, living area- kitchen and living room was spacious and stocked with everything we might have needed and then some- a true home away from home. We arrived and approximately 15 minutes later, we were in 3 Sisters Springs... A short kayak from the dock and kayaks are included :) We spent the week kayaking throughout King's Bay and enjoyed many visits with manatee. We figured we would book a tour if unsuccessful on our own, but every morning without fail we ventured out into the bay and saw them, swam with them and were splashed a few good times! One morning, there was a baby manatee right at the dock in the back yard... A fun surprise and we enjoyed for a couple hours. There are restaurants in walking distance and trails to hike as well. Close by is Crystal River Beach and Dans Clam Stand... We recommend both. The house was fantastic... Back porch or covered patio... Whatever one calls it is lovely in the evening. We enjoyed fun family dinners that Dad cooked on the grill... We hope to return... #amazinghomeawayfromhome"

  • An oasis in a lonnnng trip

"In the midst of a long roadtrip, we decided to take a brief break, and this condo filled the bill magnificently. We booked at very short notice, and the owner went out of his way -- literally -- to meet up with us and arrange things. The property matched Doug's above-and-beyond service: Great views, spacious, clean, comfortable, well-equipped, well-located and very quiet. We kayaked and snorkeled in the Crystal River and Homosassa areas, swam with a half-dozen manatees (including a mom and an infant,) and even used the nice pool while recharging our batteries for the rest of the trip. Very lucky choice on our part, and we'd highly recommend this condo and owner."

  • We had a great time.

"Pros The home was very clean and most comfortable. You could see that the owners had put a lot of thought into the place. The kitchen had every thing you could ask for. When we had boat trouble the owner and his son in law and grand son, gave up a Saturday to come up and save the day. Real nice folks. When we got home to 8 inches of snow we wanted to go back. Cons I am hard of hearing an when I watch television I use closed captioning. I could not get that on the television."
