  • Wonderfull!!!

"There is just so much to do here. We always leave having more things we want to do. I guess that's why we keep coming back. This time we rode bikes on the Withlacoochee trail, kayaked Rainbow River, kayaked out to Shell Island from the house, paddle boarded all over the bay, fished, flew stunt kites at the beach and of course ate like pigs. The house is wonderful and the owner is very helpful. I can't imagine anyone leaving this home unsatisfied."

  • Wende

"We did encounter a small issue when we first arrived but the owner took care of it promptly and was more than fair. We loved seeing the Manatee right out our back door and enjoyed the kayaks. The house was very comfortable and well laid out. Thanks for sharing your home."

  • Crystal River

"Though the house was clean and neat and very well stocked, it really needs to be updated. The walls are dark paneling, making the entire inside dark. The low wattage light bulbs make it even more dark. A coat of a light color paint would improve the appearance a lot.The renter also needs to be aware that even though you are on the water, you may not be able to drive a boat in or out to Crystal River or the Gulf. The tides are not always cooperative. We ended up trailering our boat to the marina. And be sure you have lots of insect repellant. The noseeums in this area are vicious. My husband received 50 plus bites in one afternoon. Tides and bugs are no fault of the owner, of course, but something you need to be aware of. Overall, we enjoyed the area immensely and with a few updates, would consider this rental again."

  • One of our best vacations in a long time!

"This was our first time visiting this area and we had a fabulous time! Also our first time using VRBO and we're definitely spoiled after working with Cherie. She's terrific to work with, very responsive, and made everything simple. The house is just as pictured and described. We were there in March and knew nothing about kayaking, manatees, hot springs...but we learned quickly how to enjoy the water, the nearby springs, and especially the manatees. We canoed to Three Sisters (no manatees) and realized the next day that manatees were much closer. We just canoed/kayaked out to the bay and they were all around us. And we got a great picture of two manatees swimming in the canal behind the house. In addition to the kayaks and canoe, my granddaughter used the pool everyday. Like others, we took a day to drive down to Clearwater to visit the aquarium and enjoyed meeting Winter and Hope, the dolphin movie stars. My 30-year-old daughter said it was one of the best vacations in a long time and she doesn't give those compliments often. I can't think of anything I would change about the house, Cherie has it well stocked and we basically just bought groceries. Thanks for everything and for sharing your house!"
