Gulfport Travel Tips

Relax and Have a Real Vacation at Gulfport Vacation Rentals

When you go on vacation, you want to come home feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. With Gulfport condos and vacation homes, you can get the relaxation you need by avoiding crowded hotel rooms. Avoid the stress that comes with only one bathroom and no place to really relax. Spend time with your family in a place where you can really spread out.

Find that Relaxation at Gulfport, Florida

Gulfport is a suburb of St. Petersburg and retains that small-town feel. Away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger city of St. Petersburg, you'll be able to relax, whether on the beach or walking around looking at the unique shops in downtown Gulfport. Gulfport has trolleys that can take you around town. There are two trolleys; the blue one with flamingos will take you to St. Pete Beach, while the red and green one can take you around town—and it's free!

What to Do near Your Gulfport Vacation Rental

While in Gulfport, check out the Gulfport Casino Ballroom near the waterfront. The name might fool you, because there isn't any gambling here; instead, dance events are held here that include swing, salsa, tango, and ballroom dances. The building has 5,000 square feet and features an authentic 1930s dance floor. Of course, a night on the town isn't complete without some local cuisine. One popular restaurant in Gulfport is La Fagota Churrascaria, a Brazilian restaurant. Another restaurant you might want to try is Backfin Blue Cafe, which features mostly seafood, and the crab cakes are said to be especially good.

If you're into nature, you might want to check out Clam Bayou Nature Park, a 10-acre park near Central West waterfront rentals that has many beautiful nature trails to walk and might just allow you to get a glimpse of a manatee, dolphin, water birds, and more.
