  • Breathtaking Views

"My family and I have been going to Homosassa for years. This was our first time staying in the nautical cabin. Before we made our trip, I can't tell you how nice and responsive the owner, Jeff was to our questions and concerns. I peppered him with questions and he kindly answered each one. When we made the trip, the house was located in the perfect location. The views from the wrap around porch were the best we have ever had. That was only the start. When we entered in the cabin we were greeted with a nicely decorated and clean accommodations. Everywhere we looked all we could see was that amazing view. Our "almost teenager" loved the privacy of the room downstairs. The home was conveniently located close to boat ramp and to shops. Out of all the years we have been coming to Homosassa, this has been our favorite place to stay."

  • Homosassa retreat

"Our family of five spent a week at this hidden treasure of a home. The owner was helpful and very responsive. We so enjoyed having kayaks at our disposal and we used them daily. One afternoon we encountered a trio of manatees! We also kayaked to Monkey Island several times during our stay. The home is well equipped with linens and a full service kitchen. We got good use out of the grill as well as the screened patio. The children relished having the pool all to themselves. We relished it being screened to keep out the bugs! During our week, we visited Weeki Wachee, Ellie Schiller park, Three Sisters spring/Crystal River kayak- nice people and Fort Island Gulf beach. All venues were well worth the excursions. Our last night we bought local grouper and shrimp from Shelly's Seafood and it was delectable! We truly had a wonderful, relaxing family getaway! Thank you, Mel!"

  • We loved this house and town.

"Just spent an adults only getaway this past weekend at the Creekside House. Rose and Capt. Ron were more than hospitable, and helpful with everything from great places to eat, to good scalloping locations. The house is clean, comfortable and appeared just as advertised. The neighborhood is quiet, and secluded, and the access to Rose and Ron's dock, and kayaks was awesome. Steinhatchee used to be our "go to" scalloping spot...that has officially changed. Thanks Rose and Ron, see you next year!"

  • River house is amazing!

"My family had the best visit to this beautiful home. We immediately fell in love with the decor, the location is perfect, and we made use of the kayaks, fire pit, and outdoor seating. There were five of us. The bedding was comfortable, we all slept soundly. The area has so much to offer, my 9 and 11 year old granddaughters kept busy all day. The owners were kind enough to allow our two Westies to come with us. The Ping pong table helped us work off all the great meals we had.Donna's suggestions for dining were spot on, the fresh seafood market had the best grouper, shrimp and mussels we have had in a long time."
