  • Perfect!

"I was looking for a place on the river to rent for a couple of months and was fortunate enough to find this condo. It was perfect for my needs. It is a second floor two bedroom condo with a bathroom in each room. The condo has excellent living space and a screened in back patio that over looks the beautiful river. Not only is it directly river front, it is wonderfully stocked, REALLY CLEAN, and the owners are very fair, as well as, incredible to work with. I would not hesitate to rent again and/or recommend to family/friends."

  • Wonderful time

"We stayed at this property for 3 nights in July and had a great time. We were 2 families - (4 adults and 5 kids) and with all the beds (3) and futons (3), there was plenty of room for all of us. Nice spacious kitchen that had everything we needed. We grilled one night and ate under the shelter which was nice. We saw a dolphin swim right by the dock and the kids were thrilled. We rented pontoon boats from McRaes and River Safari and both are very close to this property. There are stairs from the living area to the front door - so if you have a toddler or an infant check with Don for a child gate or bring your own. We didn't have one - but they were very accommodating in providing us with a makeshift one. We still had to watch our 15 month old though any time he was close to it."

  • A Hidden Treasure

"We spent the 4th of July weekend here with a mix of adults and our children in their early-mid 20's. What a wonderful get away spot for all ages. The home had everything you could possibly need as far as towels, linens and kitchen-ware, so don't over-pack before you come like we did. It was tastefully furnished - not the cheap rental stuff so many places have. The neighbors whose dock we used were friendly and accommodating. The owners were wonderful to deal with. We added a 36 ft. travel trailer to our group at the last minute, and there was plenty of room for it, 4 trucks, and 2 boat trailers to park in the circle drive. The space under the house was perfect for hanging out and playing corn-hole in the evening while it rained. Even though it's not directly water accessible, you can see the canal from the screened back porch. It's just a short 5 minute boat ride from all the activities on the river. It was close enough to enjoy all the scalloping madness at this time of year, but a great place to relax and get away from the crowds at the end of the day. It was so nice we, we want to keep it our little secret!!"

  • A different type of Florida

"Hubby and I have been to Florida a few times now, always with friends and kids! This time we went on our own and stayed in Davenport area for 9days and then decided to try some where different for 7 nights. We chose Homossasa and this lovely house right by the water. We were very comfortable here and the house was very clean and we'll maintained and had everything we needed . The area is rural and all the houses nearby were on the waters edge - the people nearby were very friendly and even took us out on their boats where we were so lucky to see dolphins frolicking in the sea! We did find a small local beach at Pine island a few shops and a local bar or 2 - we also drove up to Gainsville one day to watch drag racing ( hubby's ' thing!!' ) and on the way back we came across a St Patricks parade. We went to local wildlife park very near to the house and saw the manatees and we also tried our hand at canoeing ( bit more practice required on that one ! ) we really enjoyed the house and the area- a much quieter type of Florida holiday and you do need a car -it definitely not a Disney holiday - Try some thing different -check out this home and the area !!"
