  • Amazing Location!

"Michiganders need sunshine. So sunshine is what we seek. My extensive search began as the search always starts; by reading reviews. The Sea Isle Villas were a perfect fit with location, availability to suit our travel dates, AND fabulous reviews. Ian! Everyone was right about Ian. A perfect gentleman with perfect response time; so important when planning, so comforting during travel dates. When we unlocked the door using the keybox, we were all pleasantly relieved. The unit is beautiful, especially the renovated kitchen. The space was more than what two adventurous mature couples needed, but we welcomed the extra room and amenities. The overall experience was favorable. The disappointment we experienced in the response, or rather the unresponsiveness of the "key holder", Mary. We never saw her. The only time I heard her voice was when I phoned...and got her voicemail. She did not " meet" us, as was indicated in her email, she did not arrive to secure the unit(and our personal items) when a routine furnace maintainence appointment occurred during our rental period. She did not have the combination to the bike lock, although Ian had indicated in the Welcome Folder that she would, and responded to me via text that I should have read the folder more carefully. Four professional adults had already searched through the folder for the combination, and assuming the "keyholder" would have the information, inquired to receive the information - not a reprimand. After other issues with a clogged dryer vent, a dusurbingly disgusting blanket and a filthy over-burdened vacuum cleaner bag( when was the carpet truly cleaned last?) I was more than frustrated with the unseen woman who was hired to represent the Owner's best interest. Sure hope Mary can step up her game. I emailed Ian. He responded immediately! He then phoned the condo! Both my friend and myself were able to speak with him. Our visit was stellar. The incidental situations were bothersome. Ian was amazing-again. We all agreed that we would stay again. The problems were not enough to sway us from a return visit to Sea Isle. Thanks, Ian!"

  • Repeat visitors!

"We just returned home from our 4th week long stay at Susan's condo! It has been a true "home away from home" for my husband and me, our two teenage children, and my parents. When we entered the condo 4 years ago, I turned to my mom and said "Welcome to Paradise!" The gulf view from the kitchen/living area is absolutely breathtaking. This condo may be the largest three bedroom condo we have ever rented! The lanai is definitely the largest we have ever experienced complete with a full size table with 4 chairs AND two wonderful chaise lounges for relaxing! The supply of beach towels and beach chairs is a tremendous plus as no one wants to pack beach towels and rent beach chairs. The kitchen is extremely spacious with new stainless steel appliances (great ice maker on refrigerator/freezer door) and fully stocked with all you need for cooking! The master bedroom is gigantic with an equally gigantic en suite bathroom with two sink/counter areas on opposite sides of the bathroom. Blow dryers provided. Plenty of sitting space on couches and chairs in the living area to watch movies in the Blu-ray DVD player. Warmly decorated. The spiral staircase on the front of the building is a huge plus for accessing the pool and the beach. Location in IRB is excellent - within easy walking distance to two of the absolute best restaurants, Guppy's and Keegan's. Many other restaurants and ice cream within walking distance. We appreciated being able to walk to so many locations and not have to get into the car. Susan has been great to work with - very relaxed and responsive. We highly recommend Susan's condo. You will love it!"

  • The perfect vacation spot!

"We traveled during the low season and had a fantastic time. This condo has everything you need and the layout is great. We had four adults and two children (ages 14 & 11) and had plenty of space. The area is very quiet and residential feeling versus the hustle and bustle of Clearwater which is only 4 miles up the road. It was great having the outdoor kitchen and pool table, we did a lot of take out and ate lunch/dinner at the picnic table by the pool. Beware-we did have some kids in the middle of the night steal our beer so be careful what you leave in there overnight! The Kooky coconut was in walking distance to get take out. We also found a small restaurant named jake's cantina that had the best shrimp tacos. The beach was gorgeous and the pool was nicely heated. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing vacation! Thanks Mary Jo!"

  • Just short of perfect

"The only thing keeping us from awarding 5 stars are little things that can easily be corrected. We love this building. This was our second stay, first time in this unit. We will likely stay in this same building next year, perhaps even this same unit. Had some plumbing issues upon check-in, took until Monday to get it resolved. Owner could have been a bit more accommodating in that regard. Had to turn off the water supply to the toilet each time it was used. Kitchen only has ONE dish towel and ONE dish-rag, and is otherwise not equipped for major cooking, if that is your plan. Pool-side charcoal grill is nice, and there is a nice table right at the grill should you opt to eat by the pool. Area there is kept clean and neat. Biggest complaint is that there was only ONE elevator card and ONE door key. We thought that was a bit strange for a three bedroom unit that would likely involve multiple couples going in different directions at different times. Ceiling fans were quiet with the exception of the middle bedroom, it is very noisy. Forget trying to do any quick clean-up with the vacuum cleaner, it is worthless. Unit could also use a new broom. Washer and dryer are excellent, large refrigerator kept everything nice and cold. Bedding is excellent, and there is plenty of room for those who like to listen to music, read, watch TV, or just sit and relax on the two decks. Unit is very quiet, never heard any noise from other units or guests. Parking is safe, well-lit, and easy in and out. One of the best features of this location is the easy walk to Crabby Bill's, the Mexican place, the Italian place, the Pub, the Holiday Inn and its bar and grill, the IRB museum, and other attractions. For bike riders, there are bike lanes, and access to the Pinellas Trail is nearby. For golfers, there are several nice, affordable courses within a few minute's drive. Overall, we would book this unit again, would just ask a few questions regarding the key situation in advance. I'm sure they could afford a couple of keys."
