  • Living at water's edge with amazing views of the Gulf!

"Our stay at Oceanway was wonderful! You are living right at water's edge with fantastic views of the Gulf! Sunsets and moonsets are just amazing! The condo is fully equipped, comfortable, and updated. The furnishings and appliances are the nicest we have had in a rental property. New pots and pans were provided for our extended stay. Sleeps 4 comfortably. The building is well maintained. The pool is heated and kept warm as is the hot tub. The property manager was very accessible and responded quickly to our texts. Our favorite restaurants in the area include Maggie Mae's for breakfast, Guppy's for lunch or dinner, 18 on the Rocks (lobster special for $13.99), and E&E Stakeout for a special dinner. We are definitely looking forward to returning next year!"

  • Just short of perfect

"The only thing keeping us from awarding 5 stars are little things that can easily be corrected. We love this building. This was our second stay, first time in this unit. We will likely stay in this same building next year, perhaps even this same unit. Had some plumbing issues upon check-in, took until Monday to get it resolved. Owner could have been a bit more accommodating in that regard. Had to turn off the water supply to the toilet each time it was used. Kitchen only has ONE dish towel and ONE dish-rag, and is otherwise not equipped for major cooking, if that is your plan. Pool-side charcoal grill is nice, and there is a nice table right at the grill should you opt to eat by the pool. Area there is kept clean and neat. Biggest complaint is that there was only ONE elevator card and ONE door key. We thought that was a bit strange for a three bedroom unit that would likely involve multiple couples going in different directions at different times. Ceiling fans were quiet with the exception of the middle bedroom, it is very noisy. Forget trying to do any quick clean-up with the vacuum cleaner, it is worthless. Unit could also use a new broom. Washer and dryer are excellent, large refrigerator kept everything nice and cold. Bedding is excellent, and there is plenty of room for those who like to listen to music, read, watch TV, or just sit and relax on the two decks. Unit is very quiet, never heard any noise from other units or guests. Parking is safe, well-lit, and easy in and out. One of the best features of this location is the easy walk to Crabby Bill's, the Mexican place, the Italian place, the Pub, the Holiday Inn and its bar and grill, the IRB museum, and other attractions. For bike riders, there are bike lanes, and access to the Pinellas Trail is nearby. For golfers, there are several nice, affordable courses within a few minute's drive. Overall, we would book this unit again, would just ask a few questions regarding the key situation in advance. I'm sure they could afford a couple of keys."

  • Great family vacation!

"My husband and I stayed at Sand Isle with our 2 year old son. The condo is spacious and very comfortable. The furniture has been updated from what is shown in the pictures including a king size bed in the master and a full size bunk bed in the spare. we did more cooking then eating out, so having a full kitchen and gas grill was a major plus. The restaurants we did check out were Guppys (great food!) and The Pub (food just ok but the views were amazing!). We rented a car but didn't really drive it as most everything is in walking distance. There is a lot of traffic though along Gulf Blvd. Pool is small but is a fair trade off for staying in a private, quiet complex. Best part of the stay was truly the ocean front view! We were in early most nights with a 2 year old so spent a lot of time relaxing on the balcony overlooking the sunset. Even saw some Dolphins! We will definitely return!"

  • Family Reunion

"My daughter and her family rented this unit and my son rented another unit at Gulfside Villas. Our family gathered to celebrate my 50th wedding anniversary. Our family was very pleased with Gulfside Villas because of the 2 car parking, the storage unit with beach chairs, umbrellas, etc, the pool and being on the Gulf so the GKids could enjoy the beautiful beach. The unit was clean and very quiet. This is my daughter's second time to rent this unit and she plans to come back again."
