"We stayed in the Gulf Retreat from July 4- July 11. We have rented several houses/condos from VRBO and have never had a bad experience, but this condo is easily our most favorite rental we have ever stayed in. There aren't enough good things I can say about this condo. It was our first trip to Indian Shores; we usually vacation to Panama City Beach. We decided to drive a couple of extra hours and we are so glad we did. This condo is just as it is pictured, only better. It could not have been more clean or more well-decorated or more well-equipped. The view from the master bedroom makes it hard to get out of bed! I'm a nature lover/bird watcher and staying on the Inter-coastal Waterway is something I highly recommend. I would wake up early every morning to enjoy my coffee on the balcony, watching blue herons and dolphins. We were blessed with 7 full days of perfect weather. We spent half of our trip on the beach; the wagon Darryl and Isabel provide make it so easy to haul everything you need for a wonderful day at the beach; it's only a 5 minute walk. We spent the other half relaxing by the pool. The location couldn't have been more quiet and peaceful. It's close to great restaurants and not far at all from St. John's Pass where the boys spent a day on rented jet skis. It's also close to the Clearwater Aquarium where we had a girls day visiting Winter the dolphin, from A Dophin Tale. You HAVE to check out the new ice cream shop right down the street, named Haze. The ice cream is hand made and we had it every night!! I could honestly go on and on about the Gulf Retreat and about Indian Shores!!!! Halfway through our trip I even emailed Darryl trying to book the condo again for Spring Break, but they were already booked and I can understand why! We will DEFINITELY be back and we highly recommend the Gulf Retreat!!!"

"We spent Easter break here and it was perfect! We have three children and it was the first time we travelled with them! The area is a great place for a vacation, lots of things to do and see! Captain Memo's Pirate Cruise was definatley a favorite for the kids. The beaches are beautiful, and the waters are gentle. The kids spent hours on end in the water. The condo was great for a family of 5. The patio is a nice feature, we ate all our meals there. Really liked the Indian Shores area! It was a busy time when we were there with Spring Break, but we found Indian shores to be quiet and uncrowded. We saw Dolphins swim by every morning, and enjoyed beautiful sunsets eveynight!
Only word of caution would be not to leave any of your things in the parking bay. Everyone seems to leave their beach toys umbrellas, and chairs in the parking bays by their cars. We never did until near the end of our vacation and unfortunately we had all our beach things stolen! Just take your stuff in with you! Thankfully there was a very kind man who lives in one of the Condos who lent us some of his chairs and boogie boards for the kids for our last few days :) We would definatley return tho! Great place!"

"Our stay for 2 weeks in Condo 107 was very relaxing. First, the keyless entry was the best to the room and the coded bathroom. We were fortunate enough to not have to use keys to access the beach as locks were removed from gate. Bedrooms were comfortable with tv's in 2 of the bedrooms(a downfall by not having a tv in the 3rd bedroom) Living area was nice, although we were wishing for an additional piece of living room furniture, ie a recliner/chair. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes. Manager of condo(Tina) was AWESOME!! She took care of a few needs that arose at the beginning of our stay in a very quick manner. Views/sunsets/full moon from balcony were beautiful. Parking was nice in the garage area and well lit. Entry to Condo parking lot not very well lit at night, difficult to see and only one way in/out. This is not owner's fault by any means. This was out 14th year visiting the area and new to staying in Sea Gate. Pool was large and heated with plenty of seating. We did feel pool could have been cleaner due to the high use during the 2 weeks we were there(lots of suntan lotion floating on edges of pool-scrubbing each day with brush would have helped). One negative about Sea Gate was no one was ever in the office to report concerns-several times people who were not renters appeared at the pool and stayed, others attempted to use bathrooms(thank goodness for codes because most of us around the pool knew they did not belong and we would not release code). Several great restaurants/breakfast places around that we frequent whenever we are there: Sweet Sage(breakfast/lunch-outside dining) Friendly Tavern(breakfast, lunch and dinner-outside dining), Original Pizza(lunch deals at $5.00, dinner, outside dining). Trolley is right out in front of the Sea Gate Condo. When making reservations for our stay, owner answered every and all questions we asked. Washer/dryer in the unit as well. Beach was beautiful and clean. Families out crabbing at night-tons of laughter heard. Great people staying at Sea Gate Condo's. Made some lasting friendships."
