  • Annual Spring Break Escape - Perfect Place to Recharge the Batteries

"Hibiscus House is our perfect place to relax and recharge the batteries after the cruel winters we experience in Michigan. My husband and I work hard all winter and look forward, counting down the days, to our spring break enjoying the gulf breezes on the balconies of the Hibiscus House. Even our teenage son enjoys this week away with Mom and Dad, the condo has free WiFi so he can stay in touch with his friends back in the real world. My husband and I make the short trek every morning down to the Indian Shores Coffee Company and enjoy a coffee, a chai and a muffin. We like to explore - and this location is convenient for a quick hop to neighboring cities and towns. Close to many restaurants... Crabby Bills, Frenchy's in Clearwater, Pan y Vino and Seventh Sun Brewing Company in Dunedin. The condo is in a quiet building with not a lot of neighbors, open all the sliders and enjoy the gulf breeze and sunsets. Very clean and comfortable, decorated in a beach cottage theme, books for reading in the bookcase, convenient washer and dryer to rinse out those bathing suits after a day on the beach. Terrific beach for walking and collecting shells - you can go for miles and miles. My husband enjoys his jogs as there are paths beside the road for joggers and walkers. We too have wanted to keep this place a secret as a previous reviewer has said - because we always look forward every year to our Spring Break at Hibiscus House and don't want anyone else renting our piece of paradise during that week. We have rented other places in Florida over the years and keep coming back to Hibiscus House Condo it is our VERY FAVORITE!"

  • wonderful!

"We were traveling to Florida to assist our daughter in her move to the state, but wanted to add some beach time. This condo was convenient for our daily travels to Largo. This unit was very clean, neat, and quite roomy. The complex was very quiet during our stay, which was VERY relaxing and PERFECT for our trip. Would stay there next trip, if available as well as recommend to our friends and family!"

  • Great, great place!

"I looked through hundreds of listings and stopped when I got to this one. Thank goodness I did. This place is fantastic. It is super clean and well stocked with everything you could ever imagine needing. They had more kitchen appliances and gadgets than I have at my home. You don't need to buy anything, from towels and beach chairs to books and games. There is a cooler, puzzles, toys for the kids, magazines, cards, just everything you could imagine needing and going out to buy and then leaving behind because you don't have room on the way home. It's all there. Maria and Alphonso are fabulous and accommodating and make sure you have everything you need, dish soap and hand soap and lotion and hair dryers and paper towels and garbage bags and laundry soap. There is a little bit of everything so you don't have to rush out to the store as soon as you arrive. The ice maker was running and there was even an extra bag of ice in the freezer. Plus the variety of wine and chocolates they left for us. There were play pens and high chairs, noodles and beach toys. I just can't say enough about how beautiful, spacious, comfortable and CLEAN this place was. The location is fabulous, walking distance to friendly's pub which had great wings. There is a park and playground less than a block away and groceries, activities and restaurants all within minutes. Tons of stuff to walk to. And the condo is on the ground floor so going up from the pool for drinks and snacks is easy, no elevator. The pool provides bathrooms and change rooms so its easy with kids. All in all just a great great place. We are planning two weeks next year! Oh and the beach is beautiful. Lots of shells and dolphins swimming by every day. We had two adults, three teenagers and a five year old and there was plenty of space. We could all lounge about in the living room at night very comfortably. Thank you Maria and Alphonso."

  • Best.Vacation.EVER!!

"The unit was exactly as pictured and described. Booking was easy, and I was grateful to be able to pay via credit card for added security. The arrival and checkin process was very simple and fast, which got us in our unit and on the beach quickly!! We had a minor issue that Cindy was very responsive to and she even proactively credited our account, which was so nice! The unit was very clean and orderly when we arrived. We didn't see a single bug the entire time. All appliances worked just fine. Our stay was Thanksgiving week and there was still plenty to do. All the touristy stuff was still open and running except for Thanksgiving Day itself, when we went to Busch Gardens and had very small lines!! The trolley was really fun and there is a stop right in the parking lot of the condo! This is a silly thing, but my whole family was amazed at the excellent water pressure in the unit!! Sometimes it's the little things, folks! The hot tub was hot, the pool was warm. The ocean water was too cold for a full swim, but it was tolerable to go in below the hips for the kids. There were NO mosquitos anywhere! We did a lot of fishing across the street on a little pier on the intracoastal waterway. I caught a lizard fish.. EWW! We rented rods and got bait from a small shop maybe about a mile south of the condo. It's best to fish when the tide is in we discovered. We didn't get to fish on the pier on the Gulf side of the condo because I think we kept trying when the tide was out and it was too shallow. And did I mention the toy closet??! WOW - all kinds of beach stuff in there! We used quite a bit of it, and left our bait bucket for future guests. There is new tile throughout the unit which is beautiful! The only downer was the elevator - it's pretty slow. But, the kids turned it into a race and ran the 5 flights of stairs faster than we could get up or down with the elevator, LOL. It became a running joke and the elevator will have it's own page in the scrapbook I'm putting together for memories! We are already checking our schedules to see when we can get back down there!! Oh, and the price was AWESOME!! Can't say enough good things!"
