  • Best Experience!

"We wanted a place right on the beach with a great sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico and that’s what we got. Fairwinds only has 8 units in the entire building (and only one was occupied while we were there) so the pool area and beach out front felt like our own private resort. Based on the pictures on the website we were expecting a great place but we were blown away by the size of the unit, the view and by just how comfortable we felt as soon as we walked in the door. The owners, Greg and Carolyn, were very accommodating and easy to deal with. We had a great time and would recommend this property without hesitation!"

  • So relaxing

"This condo was a wonderful getaway! The view is perfect, condo was very clean, well stocked, owner was fantastic! I watched dolphins swim every morning around 8am, no better way to enjoy your coffee. The beach was almost private, you will really only see a couple other families. Lou provides beach chairs and other beach goodies so there is no need to buy stuff. The condo is really neat the hardwood vaulted ceilings give the old florida feel to this place. We did most of our cooking on the grill downstairs. I was able to paint landscapes from the MBR porch. We had such a wonderful time! If you are single or a couple check out the bar down the street Mahuffers, really cool and unique! Lou's place gives everyone the chance to live like a local. The worst thing about this place... is at some point you have to leave. Can't wait to go back next summer!! Thanks Lou for letting us stay at your wonderful condo hope you liked your picture!"

  • Gulfshores Townhome

"This is the perfect place for us. We like being right on the beach with swimming in the Gulf and walks at the water’s edge just past the gate to the pool area. We were greeted with dolphin sightings within minutes of arriving and enjoyed watching pelicans, cormorants, and humans fishing in the surf all month. Tampa, St. Pete, Sarasota are all in easy reach as are more great restaurants than we had time for. Best of all is the constant, soothing sound of the surf. We will be back next year."

  • Fourth of July Family Vacation

"Older home that is well maintained, well-stocked and very clean. At first glance we were nervous about the window air conditioners and wood paneling walls, however the house was perfect! The window air conditioners kept the home cool and the wood paneling walls add character that is hard to find these days. Our 5 kids loved the beach and the private access. There was nobody around us and we had a blast dominating the private beach on a holiday weekend. The house had towels, toys, and chairs for everything beach-fun! Because we have 5 kids, we did have to purchase some additional toys for everyone. There were several "left behind" bottles of toiletries, spices, cleaning supplies, etc... in case you forget something (convenient if you need something last minute). We did have to buy toilet paper before our week ended but CVS was close by, so no worries. The kitchen was updated and newly renovated. The living room furniture was a little worn but comfortable. The bedrooms have their own A/C units and could be adjusted. There was 1 bedroom and bath on the first level, and 3 bedrooms, 1 bath upstairs. We knew the 2 bathrooms might be a stretch for our family of 7 but we managed. I would recommend getting up a little early and walking to The Lighthouse bakery for fresh doughnuts...yummy! Scooter, bike and boat rental was just a quick walk across the street. Restaurants were nearby (we drove but you could walk). The neighborhood (street) was quaint and friendly. We never left the house on The 4th and could watch more than 15 different firework displays...GORGEOUS and MEMORABLE!! I gave it 4 stars because the house was a little older and there were some small inconveniences like: no A/C in the bathrooms and it got hot (but you could open the window), the paddle boat that was offered did not work, the canoe was unusable, and the laundry room did not connect from inside the house. I would stay again because it was priced right, and the kids had a blast and didn't notice the small issues."
