  • Lots of great memories

"We enjoyed our stay very much. The only down side was that the unit wasn't cleaned very well. We had to clean the bathrooms and the kitchen when we arrived. We left the unit cleaner than it was when we arrived and we had to pay to have it cleaned again when we left."

  • Wonderful stay on our favorite beach!

"First let me say Teresa is the best to work with! She was very kind, responded quickly to emails and was a blessing to deal with. When we entered the unit we were greeted by the curtains pulled back to expose the sliding glass door which of course lent itself to the gorgeous view of Madeira Beach and the Gulf of Mexico, if you have never seen that sight, it is breathtaking. Overall this is a great unit. We have rented condos in this area for the last 5 years and overall this was probably our favorite. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The master bedroom as well as the 2nd bedroom are nice sizes. The master has a sliding glass door that goes out to the balcony which of course overlooks the Gulf. The living area has comfortable furniture and a large flat screen tv. There are also books, games and menus in the condo. The beds were all comfortable, but I would suggest either buying or bringing your own pillows. All 5 of us at some point had stiff necks and I even found my husband one night sleeping in the recliner in the living room because his neck couldn't take the pillows anymore. But then there is the balcony, can I tell you I LOVE the balcony!!! First of all it's wider than most and it's long as well. The balcony has a very comfortable table that seats 6 as well as 2 lounge chairs and a drying rack. We spent a lot of time out there eating meals, watching the dolphins and being enjoying the sunsets. The pool is wonderful as is the hot tub. There is a maintenance guy on sight and he cleaned the pool area every day, it was spotless. In the garage there is an area where people can leave or borrow pool toys, tubes and sand toys. The office ladies are the sweetest most helpful ladies you'll ever meet. As for the negatives, the sliding glass door is small compared to the wall it's on, however, that is a building issue not owner. One night we went out onto the beach and when we got back we found the gate had been padlocked even though there is a code you have to put in to open the gate. We had to walk about 5 buildings down and cut through another property to get back. This should be communicated by the office when you check in, as it was very frustrating. But really those issues are small in comparison to all this unit/building has to offer. The outside space is 2nd to none and the condo was very clean (and I'm very picky). I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!! I would definately recommend this unit to a friend."

  • Wonderful Condo, Great Location

"We are first time vacationers of Madeira Beach. We retuned home one week ago and I must admit I miss Arie Dam already. The owner is exceptionally helpful and quickly responded to my questions before I even booked the room. At my request, she gave me suggestions on activities and restaurants in the area. The condo is described accurately and very roomy. I was amazed how exceptionally clean, well stocked and well maintained the unit is. Waking up to the sounds of the ocean and enjoying the first minutes of the day on the screened in balcony are priceless memories. We enjoyed watching the dolphins play in the Gulf from the balcony and beach. The sunsets here are gorgeous. The beach is beautiful and just steps away. We took advantage of the beach chairs and umbrella from the entry way closet. Sand toys and volleyball were also available. We did not use the pool or hot tub but that area is very nice as well. Although we ate most of our meals out, the kitchen is well laid out and fully stocked. The owner has unit beautifully decorated in a beach theme yet after I was there a day, it just felt cozy and like home. The king bed in the master has a mattress topper which was very comfortable. The master has a large bathroom with spacious shower and walk in closet that makes “moving in” a snap. As it was just the two of us, we did not use the beds in the second bedroom but that room and bathroom were equally nice. The laundry room was perfect and for the first time, I came home with a suitcase of clean clothes!! Johns Pass (a must do) is very close by with shopping, restaurants, activities and dolphin watching. There are many restaurants close by. Dockside Dave’s restaurant (very casual) is just across the street from Arie Dam and has excellent food at very reasonable prices. Checking in and out of the condo with Sunhost was very easy. The Sunhost staff was friendly and answered any questions while we were at the beach. We asked for a restaurant recommendation for stone crabs and they suggested Billy’s Stone Crab, which was delicious. Our vacation at Arie Dam was one of the most relaxing, comfortable, clean vacations that we have had. You won't be disappointed with this condo, I can’t wait to return."

  • Above All Roofing Newport

"Changing Tides Cottages rock! The cottage that we stayed in was 5 yards from Boca Ciega Bay and we had the best view from our living room and bedroom. It was so relaxing to go to sleep and to wake up each morning to the pretty water view. You really don't even need to go to the beach to enjoy to the water and the beach feel. Kathy, the owner, and Jane, Kathy's helper, are both very personable and give great recommendations. Also, the actual cottage compound is pet-friendly and is great b/c it's enclosed and our dogs were able to run around or hang out outside our cottage. The cottages are also located within walking distance to the shops at John's Pass. If you choose to visit, also go to Walt's for dinner (at John's Pass) or to Dockside Dave's and get the Grouper sandwich and fries. They are awesome! • • •"
